Acoustic singing will hit a higher note this October when “Pitch Perfect” harmonizes its way into theaters.
In the film, Anna Kendrick plays Beca, the new girl on campus, who reluctantly jumps into the Glee-diator ring and shakes up her college’s traditional approach to competitive a cappella singing. Leading a disparate all-girl ensemble of divas, pushovers and weirdos that includes Brittany Snow and Rebel Wilson, she replaces their conventional arrangements with contemporary mash-ups as a means to belt their way to regionals.
Pitch Perfect is helmed by openly gay director Jason Moore, who, from the looks of this trailer, is bringing the same irreverent wit and biting observational humor that he brought to the stage with Avenue Q.
Andrew
I can’t wait to see this due to Rebel Wilson. She has always made me laugh. She was on aj an Australian comdey skit show where she played a stalker school girl and then she had her own series called Bogan Pride.
