Finally answering a question nobody asked him, rapper 50 Cent has labeled men who date transgender women “gay.”
50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, posted an audio clip to his Instagram account of fellow rapper Young Buck asking a transgender woman to delete a video clip she had posted online. The video in question allegedly features Young Buck engaged in oral sex with a transgender woman identified as Glamour Purfek. The rapper has denied that he appears in the video. Glamour Purfek, for her part, claims her account was hacked and that the sex tape was posted unintentionally.
In the now-deleted post to his Instagram account, 50 Cent captions the audio of Young Buck: “wait if you’re in a relationship with a tr*nny, you’re gay. That’s a boy, boy! It’s cool Buck you’re gonna be big down the gay bars, gimme a call.”

50 Cent deleted the post, but not before a few fans could copy it to see that it goes viral. It will likely do nothing to resolve the scandal around Young Buck, nor will it endear 50 Cent to the LGBTQ community. The rapper has a long history of feuds, including ongoing disputes with fellow rappers Ja-Rule and The Game. 50 Cent also has his own history of gay rumors, with ex-girlfriend Vivica A. Fox expressing her own suspicions about his sexuality.
In case there’s any confusion, sexuality and gender identity are separate things. A straight-identifying man who dates a trans woman is not suddenly gay, but more importantly, who cares? The fact that 50 Cent felt pressured to delete the post only goes to show his juvenile attitude is increasingly a thing of the past.

Well, most (supposedly) straight people see any guy who’s into anyone that’s not a cis female or has overall preferences not towards cis women as “gay”. Though it’s no longer politically correct and there’s now a ton of identities, that is still the common outlook outside of the “queer community”. Furthermore, I have a male friend who’s into trans women and dudes and he sees himself as “gay”. So, don’t assume that every dude who isn’t entirely conventionally homosexual shuns “gay”. Never mind that no one even knows if that was him in the video.
However, all of that is beyond the point of 50 being an incredibly bitter, trolling man with many issues. And if he was still relevant on the hip-hop/rap scene he’d likely not be doing any and everything to gain some attention.

He’s just upset because his ex Vivica Fox claimed he was gay, and there were rumors about him and Soulja Boy. He was all over that young’un on that magazine cover. His prison movie wasn’t the straightest film I’ve ever seen either. That said, Donston’s right that in the popular straight imagination men who are attracted to trans women are often considered “gay,” as opposed to “queer” or some other designation. Gay men who are attracted to FTM guys are also considered gay, since again, among many straights, gender overrides everything else, and technically, a FTM is a man. What about a straight man into butch lesbians, though, or a “gay” man who is? Sometimes the labels work, often they don’t. 50 Cent isn’t a gender theorist, though, so I hardly expect a nuanced comment from him on the topic.

If you are a man and you like someone who got a penis, you’re gay. Queerty always posts stuff about two males just hugging each other being “gay”, so what would it make it different if you are a man having sex with a person who has a penis? Sorry, women don’t have penises.

If you are a person with a penis and you like another person with a penis that makes you gay or bisexual. A lot of closeted men date trans people because they are in denial about their sexuality. Gender identity is an individuals conception of themselves, they are free to identify as what ever they wish but everyone else including 50 Cent is free to ignore this.
