Namely, that’s he’s all in, but this we knew. Just please don’t let this campaigning thing get in the way of your office’s investigation into jerkoff Pedro Espada. And hey, how about we keep the “Vote for Cuomo, Not the Homo” campaign signs to a minimum, yes?

Say what you will about Gov. Paterson, but he’s been the most pro-LGBT Governor NY has ever seen. Cuomo just doesn’t measure up on that front. One line in his announcement video (“I believe in marriage equality”) does not an ally make.

I agree, bob… Gov. Paterson has been badly and undeservedly maligned by the notorious republicans-masquerading-as-democrats who control NY State. His ineffectiveness is due more to their actions (or should I say inaction) than to any fault of his own.
Patterson’s detractors can get away with it because, unfortunately, he does not have the kind of charisma necessary to impress the weak-minded masses who just can’t get beyond his physical appearance.
Personally, I think Patterson could be one of the greatest Governors ever if he could only have a majority backing. Sadly, I do not think that will happen.
Chris
@papparon: Did you forget the witness tampering? A popular governor can achieve much more for us.
Bob
@Chris: Well Gov. Paterson is an unpopular Governor who cares very deeply about our issues and AG Cuomo is a very popular gubernatorial candidate who doesn’t seem to give a damn about us… which would you prefer?
Personally, I prefer a Governor to put all of his efforts toward helping us and fail over a Governor who fails to help us by not even trying.
papparon
@Chris – It took me a long time and a lot of digging to verify the actual facts which lead me to my support of Patterson – you could do it too if you wanted. I guess it is just so much easier to buy into the opposition rhetoric than check the facts for yourself, huh?
PLAYS WELL WITH OTHERS
….Patterson tossed head first into the clusterfuck which is NY politics. Any student government in an elementary school would do a better job in Albany than the chuckleheads currently holding those posts. Unfortunaely as the accidental Governor Patterson got blamed for a lot of thit that he has had no control of. Patterson withdrew from the race so talk about Cuomo vs. him is moot. Cuomo is going to be the Dem. candidate…
99.9% chance he is going to face Rick Lazio, a poster boy of the rightwing lunatics who’s win would 100% certainly doom any chance of any positive news for the Gays in NY. I’ll surely take Cuomo’s “I believe in marriage equality” over a rightwing zealot ………

I do not approve of political dynasties. There are too many good people that are qualified to represent us. These children of politicians taking over is dangerous and does not reflect democracy or freedom. Go away Cuomo. You are full of shit.
