Screen Shot 2014-03-18 at 2.26.19 PMWow! Fox News sure has come a long way from being the antigay, transphobic and generally awful news source you’ve come to know it as.

This morning, Denver Fox affiliate KDVR made a pretty racy and progressive move by showing a photo of an uncut, flaccid penis during a segment covering a helicopter crash in Seattle.

“Here’s another photo, you can see the smoke billowing up next to the Space Needle…an iconic image,” one reporter says while flipping through viewer-submitted photos on Twitter.

“That’s Edward Scissorhands,” he says, flipping through a photo of Edward Scissorhands, and then a burrito, before pausing on a photo of an admittedly hot dick hanging out of a man’s fly.

The man with the hot peen at his fingertips is unfazed by the whole ordeal, but his coworkers were a little more…impressed:

Update, 4:39pm: A whack job (pun intended) at KDVR has released a statement regarding the misplaced peen incident:

While reporting breaking news about the crash of the KOMO-TV helicopter in Seattle, Fox 31 Denver accidentally broadcast an offensive photo while scrolling live through a Twitter feed of pictures from the crash scene.

The photo was mistakenly broadcast by our control room. It did not come from the tablet many viewers saw being used by one of our anchors.

We apologize for the inadvertent broadcast of the image and we are taking immediate steps to prevent such an accident from happening again.

Offensive? Since when are penises “offensive,” and who is the moron who deemed such a photo “offensive”?

Inappropriate to be on a news broadcast, definitely. But offensive? Get off your penis-shaming high horse cock, Fox! The only offensive thing here is your reliance on Twitter as a breaking news source.
