This just in: Fuller House star and Dancing With The Stars contestant Juan Pablo Di Pace just came out as gay.
During an emotional TedX event, the 39-year old actor/singer opened up about the homophobic abuse he suffered growing up in Argentina.
“Acceptance was my fuel, and when that is the case, like an addict, you do whatever it takes to get a fix,” he said. “I figured, if I changed my f*cking self, I could be in.”
Di Pace, who was raised Catholic, struggled with his sexuality throughout adolescence and into adulthood. Ironically, it wasn’t until he was cast as Jesus Christ in the miniseries A.D. The Bible Continues that be began to accept himself.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
“Many years later and still justifying my being gay with my critic, I get offered the role of a lifetime: Jesus Christ,” he recalled. “Of all the people in the world that could play this part, they gave it to me.”
Di Pace continued: “So there I am, hanging on the cross […] in Morocco […] and I look up at the sky, and I think, ‘You could still strike me down with lightning. Are you sure you want me to play your son?’ Instead, what I felt was an overwhelming feeling of love and acceptance and freedom that I could never even put into words.”
“A message from God? Maybe.”
He added: “Words are like universes and we are musicians who can create universes with them.”
Watch.

He’s cute so win for us!
I couldn’t imagine coming out so late in life but good for him… better late than never.

Lol! He’s 39 years old and he’s accomplished more than, well never mind. I think there’s just enough life left for the old man. Seriously, some of you queens.

The actor looks up and asks “Are you sure you want me to play your son? … I felt … an overwhelming feeling of love and acceptance and freedom… . A message from God? Maybe.”
I’d say definitely. Gay men of faith know our God loves us.

AMEN!! God made us all in his image and he loves us all the same….we were born this way and God loves us all, we are all sinners born with original sin and are all God’s children.

However, God condemns certain behaviors. Do remember that, also.

I knew he was gay when I first saw the “Call On Me” video he did back in 2005 – 10 years before he finally accepted it himself! He is a hottie!

Watching him on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ I sort of expected something like this somewhere along the way. Good for him. Better late than never.

The video is dated March… Not really “just come out”. Good to know, though. He’s very sexy.

It was posted on June 29th though

Kudos to him. I had never seen him until his appearance on DWTS, whereby I fell in love with him for his obvious good looks and extraordinary talent (he should’ve won that season). People come out on their own terms: it’s all good.

Aha!!! I knew it!!!! LOL!!!!
I don’t watch DWTS often, but I watched Juan Pablo last season. He was amazing, and he definitely should have won! How do you get two perfect scores in one evening, but still go home? That’s why I don’t watch that show. It’s obviously rigged.

Hasn’t “Fuller House” been cancelled? You’re a day late and a dollar short, Mr. Pablo.

His name is John Paul of Peace, thus, I assume he was named for Pope St. John Paul II by his parents.
God does love him and all of His creatures regardless of race, color, creed, or sexual orientation, however, God does not approve of certain behaviors as listed both in the Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church, or for that matter, the Koran, too.

The quote should read: “Words are like universes and we are magicians who can create universes with them.”
