No one does beauty, drama, and the arts better than us homos. Put them together and you get the magic of cinema. So it should come as no surprise that gays (both closeted and uncloseted) have pretty much been responsible for Hollywood’s success since day one. (Okay, we know the Jews had something to do with it, too.)
This week the Hollywood Entertainment Museum in LA premieres a brand spanking new exhibit devoted to that history called “Gay Hollywood.” Talk about redundant.
“gay characters have always been visible on screen, even if their sexuality was repressed, due to the Motion Picture Code or other forms of censorship and self censorship.”
Rest assured that neither Tom Cruise, Richard Gere, or Kevin Spacey will be coming out. To see this exhibit.
