Fresh off the success of Gayby, out filmmaker Jonathan Lisecki is taking the lead role in the upcoming comedy Big Gay Love.

Written and directed by Ringo Le (Saigon Love Story), the film sees Lisecki playing Bob, a party planner with the hots for a sexy chef (Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Nicholas Brendon).

But in image conscious Los Angeles, can Bob overcome his insecurities and body-image issues.

Lisecki says he’s proud of the role: “People like me don’t usually get to play the lead in a romantic comedy.”

Production is about halfway through—Big Gay Love should be ready for the film festival circuit next summer.
