Dr. Jill Biden attended not one but two Pride celebrations over the weekend and, by the looks of things, she had a pretty amazing time.
The first lady, a longtime LGBTQ+ ally, made an appearance at Minneapolis Pride on Saturday, where she held a fundraiser in the morning before heading to the festival with Rep. Ilhan Omar.
In a short speech, she talked about the Biden administration’s ongoing fight for LGBTQ+ equality.
First Lady Dr. Jill Biden has tapped openly gay Los Angeles-based designer Mark D. Sikes to help redecorate her East Wing offices.
“We know that there are those who wish to undo progress this community has made. Joe stands with you now, and he stands with you forever. Today, we’re here to find the joy,” she said.
After that, Dr. FLOTUS flew to Nashville to host another fundraiser that afternoon and then participate in the Pride festivities, where she was met by an enthusiastic crowd.
“Happy Pride, Minneapolis and Nashville! Today, we’re here to say that you belong. That you are beautiful. That you are loved. Joe and I will stand with you always,” she tweeted afterwards, along with several photos of herself at both Pride events.

Conservatives are FURIOUS with Dr. Biden. Just don’t ask any of them why because none of them are sure. All they know is THEY’RE PISSED and SHE’S TO BLAME!
Earlier this month, the Bidens hosted a Pride celebration at the White House, during which Dr. Biden gave a speech about queer joy.
“Today, we are here to find joy,” she said. “We want our kids just to be kids, running around and, hey, eating too much sugar; to laugh with the friends that we wish we saw more often; to find solace in the arms of people who see us for who we are; to celebrate the beauty and the resilience of this community.”
“Today, we say loud and clear that you belong, that you are beautiful, that you are loved.”
Sorry, haters, but Dr. Biden is way too smart to take your bait.

NONE. And you know who pushed to make this happen? Biden’s Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and now former Labor Secretary Marty Walsh. So as it stands, Biden helped negotiate better pay for nearly all the rail unions, averted a rail strike (which would have crashed the economy), and then subsequently pushed and pushed until the railway companies did what they’d refused to do, which was provide paid sick leave to railway workers. The unions thanked Biden, as you say, but there’s been ZERO media coverage. ZERO. Most people still think that the Biden administration abandoned the workers, when in fact, they’re better off in terms of pay, working conditions, and now sick leave, than they were a year ago. The US media aren’t “liberal” by any measure!

If any of the right-leaning gay people on this site think that ANY of the people or their spouses (sorry, Tim Scott) running in the GQP column this time are going to support us, think again. Some are married to rabidly anti-gay/anti-LGBTQ politicians, like Ron DeFascist, and Don the Con himself showed repeatedly that putting anti-LGBTQ judges on the federal courts was one of his top priorities.
Will Hurd, Francis Suarez and Chris Christie. Even Asa Hutchinson to a certain degree. Again, life is nuanced. It doesn’t neatly align into little boxes for your consumption. I wouldn’t vote for any of these people. They are far too liberal for my liking.
And here is the conservative trying to gaslight us. Chris Christy does not support gay marriage. Asa Huthcinson has talked around it but does not support codifying gay marriage on a national level. Will Hurd and Frances Suarez are both pretty wobbly with some support and a history of non-support. None of them are allies. We have actual allies on the Democratic side, we don’t need to risk people who are in a party that often has anti-gay planks.

And here comes Dave Matthews with his Meghan McCain schtick. Like Ms. McCain, Dave sees the world through the prism of gay privileged male. “However, his administration proposed a regulation to allow schools to bar transgender athletes from competitive teams, a decision which was strongly opposed by transgender advocates.” (Biden, LGBTQ views on Wikipedia) So in the end, Dave Matthews, all the candidates are wishy-washy. Suarez is about on the same level as Biden. Does he stand a chance at being elected? No. Your guy recycles LGBTQ press releases, too. Hell, Jill Biden told the same speech from DC to Nashville. THEY ARE LITERALLY THE SAME CANDIDATE. How can you not see that? Both parties are the same. It’s the money party, baby. And all these pet identity politics distractions fall by the wayside outside the extreme fractions of both parties, and you can see the parties for the capitalistic core they are.
