Kevin Spacey has purportedly checked into a luxury $36,000-a-month sex rehab center in the Arizona desert to receive treatment for his alleged sexual misconduct.
According to multiple sources, Spacey will be staying at the elite Meadows, a favorite rehab center among celebrity A-listers including Tiger Woods, Kate Moss, and Selena Gomez.
Last week, Spacey announced he was “taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment.” It sounds like he’ll be in good, like-minded company at Meadows. Alleged serial assaulter Harvey Weinstein is also rumored to be seeking treatment at the facility.

The clinic claims to have the best sex addiction treatment program in the country, offering a 45-day program called the “Gentle Path” where patients undergo counseling and “expressive arts” to cope with their issues.
The facility also boasts a “safe and nurturing community” that includes a state-of-the-art fitness center, a yoga room, a swimming pool, an art studio, and several indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, among other things.
Sounds lovely.
Since being accused of preying on young men and underage boys, Spacey has kept a low profile. He had his special Emmy Award revoked and Netflix announced he will no longer appear on the hit show House of Cards.
We genuinely hope he is able to get the help he needs at Meadows.

Except for the fact that no reputable psychological organization says that Sex Addiction exists. Never underestimate the ability of people to create B.S. programs to take money from stupid celebrity publicists trying to find a fake way to rehab their clients image.

Sex “addiction” isn’t a thing. But a seeming inability to withhold from all your impulses and having self-destructive impulses are frequently signs of other issues. Spacey’s main problem is that his baseline orientation is towards teenagers, and that’s unlikely to change. He also seems to get off on using sex to shock and manipulate and extort power. That can change with help. But you’d think since he’s apparently been called out on this multiple times throughout the decades he would have been sought out help by now. So, this is definitely about trying to salvage an ostensibly dead career.

One of the requirements for an addiction is a series of physical withdrawal symptoms when forced to quit cold turkey. That doesn’t happen when people stop having sex. It doesn’t even happen when people stop having sex and stop masturbating. That’s why the DSM doesn’t consider sex addiction to be a real thing. Certain therapists might say that it’s an unhealthy coping mechanism, but it’s far from an actual addiction comparable to a chemical dependency.

What bothers me about all of this, not only Spacey, but the laundry list of females claiming sexual harassment and inappropriate sexual behavior lately, is that in this country, in this legal system, a person accused is INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty by the person (legal team) bringing on the accusation. So someone is dragged out of the woodwork who is willing to say that ‘so-and-so’ “touched” me inappropriately in 1978, and the accused, in 2017 mind you, is destroyed??? No way, in my book. PROVE IT, video tape, voice recordings, eye witnesses and the like, or shut up and go away. This is very dangerous, as a complete stranger to you, could go to the police and “say” that you raped them 35 years ago, and your life is instantly destroyed. Bull sh*t on a stick I say.
