The Kindle got a little less supple and lithe this month, with Amazon quietly removing a spate of Yaoi titles from the digital shelves.
Yaoi, for the uninitiated, is basically a genre of anime bodice-rippers featuring boys and boys and more boys.
According to Yaoi News, one press has already stated that they’ll have to change their content in order to conform to Amazon’s new terms and conditions banning digital homoerotica.
But don’t worry, appreciators of the female physique: you can still ogle vaginas on your Kindle with such titles as No Holds Barred, Alien Rule, and The Carnal Desires of Helen: The Adventurous Romance Romp of a Dirty Detective.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

I don’t get it. My Kindle is black and white text only, so how can there be color pictures of boys??

@BenFrankly: BF, I think someone snuck a B&N “Nook Color” e-reader into the mix. Still haven’t gotten myself an e-reader because of Amazon’e Jurassic gay “policy”….and they won’t let you borrow e-lend books from the library until the still-mythical “fix” coming with the “next” incarnation. 🙁

I have encountered Yaoi only once, it was a CD of Japanese TV show. There were no Naked Boys. Given the style of what I saw, the most explicit scene possible would be a highschool locker room filmed as coyly as anything you might see on a major US TV network.
Amazon has of course given me another reason not to enter their ecology.
PS- the example I found was in the local library.

They can be in color if you are using the kindle app for iphone/ipad/pc.
What Amazon is doing is complete crap, how can they do this to loyal customers?
