Beau Breedlove’s on Unzipped. Now Regent Media is passing envelopes to score real porn star and buzzworthy-again Brent Corrigan to appear on Freshman. Guess who’s pissed off? Michael Lucas!
Lucas has been anti-Corrigan for, claims the porn producer and star, the past three years, since the young twink has capitalized on his underage fame to score lucrative deals and popularity (or is that notoriety?). But their feud really blew up, and had Corrgain participating, at the GayVN’s when Lucas publicly called for Corrigan’s head — and then followed up with an endless stream of (rather entertaining) rants.
Having already spat at Freshman corporate cousin Unzipped over its coverage of the fight, what’s Lucas got to say about Regent promoting Corrigan on a magazine cover?
Ok great, so let’s accept him and then we’ll accept the next kid who does it then the next kid until we all end up with child pornography all over our computers. Because this should be the accepted protocal of our industry to forget it once they are of age??? I am disappointed with your morality on this. But we all have our standard of practices … Let’s respect this.

So, did Michael Lucas go to the Zoolander Modeling School? What’s with that same pout/scowl in every photo I’ve seen? I’ve heard that models will say “prune” under their breath to give fuller lips, but I think Mr. Lucas needs to learn how to do it properly.
At least Brent can show some real personality in his photos.

A resident of 244 W. 23rd St., MICHAEL LUCAS, 36, was arrested on Sat., March 15, after a neighbor told police the defendant slapped and scratched him. Witnesses said Lucas broke several items in one of the apartments of the building and cut himself on the arm by the time police arrived.

I certainly don’t think Michael Lucas is a saint, and I suspect this is a great way for him to keep his name in the press, but (and it’s a BIG but), I have a huge problem with Brent Corrigan performing underage in porn. It gives weight to some of the worst things that get said about our community. So, to that extent I think Lucas is dead on.

Michael Lucas is a sanctimonious ass. From the way he’s acting you’d think Brent Corrigan produced those underage videos all by himself. Corrigan’s jailbait videos were produced by a 40-year-old sex offender (Bryan Kocis) who pled guilty to a child sex abuse charge about a year before he hired Corrigan. Kocis continued to sell Corrigan’s underage videos even though he knew how old he was.
If Lucas really cared about stopping child pornography you’d think his anger would be directed at the porn producer who had a kiddie rape charge on his rap sheet instead of at one of the underage boys the kiddie raper exploited.

@rich: Kocis did have a 2002 conviction that was modified in 2006 to “corruption of a minor” because he had sex with a 15 year old, who apparently also lied about his age (according to wikipedia, altough the link to the source is dead). That’s about the only reason I can come up with (short of evidentiary issues) to suggest why the DA allowed him to plead to a lesser charge that would not subject him to the registry. In PA, there’s a mistake of age defense available if the minor is above the age of 14 and the defendant can prove by a preponderance that he reasonably believed the child was above the relevant age (16, I believe, in PA):
If the minor in Kocis’ case had been under 14, no defense would have been available. But there was a viable mistake of age defense, and Kocis decided to enter a plea to a lesser, non-registration offense, which the DA accepted. The conduct in question took place in 2001 and the plea was entered in 2002; the mistake on the entry of judgment was corrected in 2006. I believe Corrigan was hired in 2004, putting two years between the entry of the plea and tha date and about three years between that date and the conduct in question.
Finally, Kocis discontinued sales of Corrigan’s videos once it became apparent that Lockhart was underaged when the first two or three films were shot.
None of this is really material to the issue of Lockhart falsifying records except as it weighs on the credibility of Kocis’ claims versus his own. I’m not certain Lockhart has ever provided proof of age to anyone in any setting; I beieve those requests were rejected by his attorney during the civil litigation with Kocis’ Cobra outlet. He did testify to falsifying state issued documents to appear in those films.
They all appear a bit unsavory to me, although certainly not the worst of criminal offenders. But it is not as black and white as your post would seem to indicate.

Uh…why isn’t there raving support for Lucas? He’s fighting AGAINST child pornography! Down with Brent Corrigan and everything he represents- he’s only going to provide more problems to gay men and gay men that watch porn (I think I’m being redundant here) in the years to come.

On two known occasions Kocis, a 40+ year-old man, got mixed up with underage boys. The second instance happened while he was still dealing with the legal fallout from his “child sex abuse” arrest. We’re supposed to believe Kocis was an innocent man who was led astray by teenagers on both occasions? Please! I’ve seen the box cover from one of Corrigan’s underage videos. He looked much much younger than 17. Only a moron or a self-justifying pedo would accept “But he lied about his age!” as an excuse.

Because in his attacks on Brent Corrigan Michael Lucas has defended Bryan Kocis, a man who had a criminal record because he videotaped himself fucking a 15-year-old. Lucas has completely absolved Kocis of any wrongdoing even though Bryan Kocis got himself arrested for making kiddie porn.
