Netflix threw some epic shade at Roseanne this week.

As you’ve doubtlessly heard by now, Roseanne showed the world how to lose a #1 hit TV show in 140 characters or less when she called former President Obama aide Valerie Jarrett a Muslim ape on Twitter earlier this week.

Well yesterday, the streaming giant tweeted a little “reminder” to potential subscribers/Roseanne revival viewers that its One Day at a Time sitcom remount “is a sitcom about a tight-knit, working class family that tackles extremely topical social issues, in a smart and innovative way.”

“Ya know, if you’re suddenly looking for a show like that….”

The tweet has received almost 80,000 likes and 25,000 retweets.

Meanwhile, Roseanne has been busy insisting that, despite her blatantly racist behavior, she’s not a racist.

“I’m not a racist,” she tweeted yesterday afternoon. “I never was & I never will be. One stupid joke in a lifetime of fighting 4 civil rights 4 all minorities, against networks, studios, at the expense of my nervous system/family/wealth will NEVER b taken from me.”

“Never was & never will be.” Oh, except for that time she called a Black woman an ape.

Here’s a little word to the wise: If you ever find yourself uttering the words “I am not a racist,” there’s a very good chance you’re a racist.
