By now you’ve no doubt heard about the scandal surrounding Starbucks’ new red cups, which some Christian extremists are interpreting as an act of war against Christmas.
“It’s much more than just a cup!” antigay activist Joshua Feuerstein told CNN yesterday. “The cup is very symbolic … It parallels a society that is trying to remove Christmas from Christmas!”

hm… my family company removed the reindeer from its range of nativity scenes decades ago, and no one said anything, even though the ox, the lamb and the reindeer are such important characters in the narrative. we’re not sure about removing the christmas tree and the three wise elves with gifts from santa though. we’re not looking forward to see angry protesters. shall we do it anyway?

Trees, garlands, wreaths, and reindeer are Pagan symbols from European history. Santas, elves, sleighs, sleds, etc. are imaginary things having nothing to do with Jesus. Perhaps different sized stars would be more appropriate, but no five-pointed ones, becuz they’re Wiccan, or Satanic, if inverted.

If people are upset that Starbucks got rid of their Christmas decor and went to just a plain red cup with their logo they are going to be among the first people Christ is gonna slap the shit out of when he returns (since that’s what they believe) since that has nothing to do with the meaning of Christmas. See chair? Take several seats please. I got my skinny white peppermint mocha (yes I said that just to irk the Starbucks haters who think flavored anything is an abomination) yesterday and I noticed the change and liked it. It’s simple and it’s red for god sake. Shut up people.

I used to support gays but now I won’t. Their hatred is rearing its ugly head. If you’re about equality then show that for ALL. If you don’t get why some people are upset over this asshole move by the CEO then you deserve everything bad coming your way. People aren’t pissed because Starbucks stopped printing Christmas patterns on the coffee, they are pissed because it was a non-issue. Nobody ever complained about the stars or reindeers. But then the CEO did it just to start a controversy. No wonder you people became a plague to society and for thousands of years you were hated – that hate obviously was legit and started somewhere. Have your fun now but you keep inviting your own hate. I only feel bad for gays who are going to pay for your hateful ways. Somebody always has to pay but never the ones who deserve it.
