Sorry, I didn’t watch the show, I’ve never watched it, so maybe I’m not the most qualified to comment. He’s great. He’s Madonna 20 years ago – both good and smart enough to know how to market himself. I admire the f*ck out of him for being so forward, so talented and for winning. I mean, even I know that 2nd place on that show is a win.
That being said… Every time there’s an interview with him I see and hear Rex Reed. Furthest thing from sexy, ever.

Sure, Adam Lambert is an outstanding singer, amazing singer, but he has a magnetic, charismatic, amiable personality and admirable individuality that is recognized by it’s rareness as beautiful and liberating. Adam has ‘high vibrations’ good energy , & since like goes to like of the same frequency- he attracts those with open minds & warm hearts no matter the age, gender, race or religion.Some performers on stage project ‘look at me’ but Adam on stage clearly performs with the purpose of entertaining the audience and having fun with it. He makes us feel good.

The boy is nothing about Goth he’s Rock and Roll with an emo flair when he’s in the mood. WLL in Dallas was the most suburb performance to date esp at 1:23 on the link provided. And of course the end with the mic stand is everyone’s fav. His Dallas show was really 250% “all in” for Adam, lots of extra care went into that show. Sweet boy, unpretentious and kind, and stand back when he hits the stage and his inner music genius takes over. God bless Adam Lambert as he enters the dangerous world of Superstardom where so many before him failed to make it ok. I hope he doesnt face a future of isolation either, because of freak fans thinking they own him.

Adam Lambert may well be something we have never before seen in pop music or even celebrity – an openly gay performer that can completely transcend homophobia and become a huge star by sheer force of talent and charisma. No one, except stupid redneck wingnuts, seems to give a damn whether he’s gay or not, and that’s only a recent development in the culture. They just want to watch him perform and hear him sing. No one on IDOL before has generated so much hype, interest, and fascination. He just walks into the room and people want to know everything about him. Yes, he is sexy. It does seem to be universal. He is transcending everything, indeed. I’m a lesbian! I took my kids to the Dallas show and he was amazing. The energy in the arena completely changes when that man is about to come onstage. Even the straight men were on their feet. If you are waiting for his solo show to go see him, but you have an opportunity to catch the Idol tour this year, GO!
It’s a great show. They are all better live and Adam is worth every penny. The videos don’t come close to portraying just how good he is in person.

My first memory was the Beatles on Ed Sullivan. I remember how crazied my two older sisters were. I later became a huge fan of Elton, and of course I knew he was gay long before he finally, fully came out. I love music and pursued a career as a songwriter/singer. Nearly signed twice with WB in the early 80s but was told I wouldn’t be allowed to be openly gay. I would not agree so that’s were it ended. My pride in seeing Adam’s success – and acceptance as an out man – is inspiring almost beyond words. How times have changed for the better. I want to personally thank everyone for supporting Adam – I know his example is going to inspire a lot of young gay men and women – and others as well – to pursue their dream now that he’s kicked that door down. I’m especially happy that so many see and hear in him what I do – a truly amazing talent and a good soul. His parents and loved ones must be awesome people. I agree with whoever said God was showing off when he made Adam for us.

Mark, I’ve been trying to ‘crack” the secret to his popularity and he has so many things going for him. One of the things that make people respond to him is imo, the fact that he’s actually a role model to all people, not just gays or gay teens. He inspires people to be true to themselves, to not succumb to being like everybody and try to fit in, if they feel different in any way or people see them as misfits. He’s living proof that you can be a rebel and “weird” and succeed in a big way. You just have to follow your dreams and be confident and eventually you might make it. That’s a huge, powerful, inspiring message.
His insane talents make it impossible to ignore him but it’s everything he projects as a person that makes people love him.

Brucek99, Kris Allen is not a stupid boy, he’s an open minded kind hearted boy, just like Adam. I think most of the Adam fans like Kris because he loves and cares for Adam just as we all do. Who knows, he may be a glambert. It’s just that many other fans from both sides are having difficulty accepting the fact that they both are huge fan of each other and have true friendship. The contest is over and people should move on. What should of have been no longer matters and it’s a waste of time that would be better focused on the future.
