Detectives in the U.K. are urging anyone who may have been friends or acquaintances with an alleged gay serial killer to please come forward.

40-year-old Stephen Port was arrested in October after allegedly poisoning four men, all in their 20s, he met on gay dating sites between June 2014 and September 2015. He was charged with four counts of murder and four counts of administering a poison with intent to endanger life or inflict grievous bodily harm.

According to police, Port’s victims included 23-year-old Anthony Patrick Walgate, whose body was found in June 2014; 22-year-old Gabriel Kovari, whose body was dumped near a cemetery in August 2014; 21-year-old Daniel Whitworth, whose body was discovered near the same cemetery as Kovari’s a month later; and 25-year-old Jack Taylor who was found murdered in September 2015.

Detective Chief Inspector Tim Duffield issued a statement, saying: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have information in connection with these incidents, no matter how insignificant you may think it is.”

Duffield added: “For anyone who feels anxious about talking directly to the police, I would urge them to speak to organizations such as Galop, a specialist charity that supports LGBT people affected by violence and abuse. They will be able to facilitate appropriate support and advice, maintain confidentiality and treat anything you tell them with the utmost sensitivity.”

Port’s trial is set to begin in April.
