Worth noting, they’re limited to queens that can speak English. (Holland and Thailand)

It makes sense to have that as the common language. The more single language speakers you have on set, the more translators you would need on set. And this is being produced in a current Covid world, so you want to reduce the number in the respective bubbles. I would hope that in a post Covid world there would be non-english speakers in subsequent seasons.

They can use subtitles, and the queens from Holland all speak perfect English and most of the ones from Thailand can.
