Sheikh Falah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan better mark his calendar, because he’s due in court on May 8th.
The sheikh – whose brother happens to be president of the United Arab Emirates – stands accused of assaulting American national Silvano Orsi last year in Geneva.
Orsi alleges that Falah attempted to woo him with champagne, which Orsi doesn’t drink, and then became enraged when the American rebuffed his royal advances. Rather than walking away, says Orsi, Falah went ape shit and started whipping him with a belt. As if that’s not reasonable! He is, after all, a sultan!
Mr. D.
Since homosexuals in the UAE get injected with hormones and imprisoned, wonder if thier gonna stick of few needles into this GAY Sheikh’s ass! Bet he’d love it! Hypocrits…let’s see if his brother the president is happy now!
leomoore
He is charged Switzerland rather than in UAE. I think I’ll wait to hear the outcome of the trial. There is something about the case that doesn’t make sense to me. It might seem shallow, but if the photo of the man making the accusation is accurate and the photo of the sheik is recent, there is a physical mismatch if my years of observation and participation in the gay community are any indication. It isn’t radical, but it isn’t typical particularly from the viewpoint of the alleged sexual aggressor. Then again, I’m neither Arab nor Italian culturally.
Mr. D.
Did you ever think that maybe the sheikh had an entourage of bodyguards around him that may have played a part in what happened? Common use your head! Afterall, it not size that matters, but thickness!
mikeylikesit
Rich and hot. Temper aside, I’d totally do him. All that pent up rage. I’m in!
Jack Jett
This story is hot. I wonder if Sheikh Falah bin Sultan bin Zayed Al-Nahyan has a leather version of this outfit? Or would it be pleather?
If the S&M Sheikh reads this, please check my website and let me know if you are into aging tv gasbags.
John
You try having to follow rules that include: no alcohol, no dancing, no music, no gambling, no fornication, no pornography, and no shaving. No wonder Arab men are so pissed off all the time.
“Pent up rage” indeed.
Mr. D.
You’re right Jack, this story is hot!
Can’t wait to see what happens on May 8th!
When are they going to let this American man talk to the US media?
This is hottttttttttt!!!! I heard Dick Cheney is in the Emirates in the next few days…maybe he’ll get his fat-ass whipped as well while he’s sucking up to the oil sheikhs!
Uptown James
I wanna rim the sheikh’s ass.
Jack Jett
Get in line Uptown…get in line.
I called sheikh dibbs first.

Maybe I am reading too much in to the light hearted comments made by some people above; I can see why some gay men may find the premise of a rich arab sheike being sexually violent towards a man “hot”. What is surprising is that gay men seem to have the same attitude as the general population when it comes to sexual violence directed at men. A male victim of sexual violence is not sympathised with to the same extent as a female victim might be. Sexual violence is what it is, whether directed at a man or a woman, and it requires our whole hearted condemnation however “hot” one may find it.(granted the case against the Sheike hasn’t yet been proven in court)
Mr. D.
RomanR you are absolutely right. The man affected must be living a nightmare and his poor family as well. I am sure it is not a joy to have to be going through this for him. Your right about the sympathy, look at what the US media is doing to him on top of it, and our government…they’re doing and saying nothing. You know, if this was the son or child of our US president or any other world leader, what would have happened? I hope the American man and his family receive justice.
Mr. D.
The US citizen victimized by the GAY Sheikh has a website: http://www.victimsofviolenceabroad.com .
It says he’s been treated poorly by BUSH and his cronies, who love to kiss royal oil-sheikh ass…
M Shane
I find it appaling how quickly we jump to judgement regarding ababic people–safe terrritory for racism. Either they are fucked up because they are intolerant or that hey are “rapists”. The govenment has of course made this a ready course. I’ve known a lot of arabs who are invariably good respectable people; I find the story muchtoo bizarre to be true.
We have forced them into a defensive posture because of our cruel unreasoned imperialistic invasions.
We need to start treating them like human beings.
Douglas Parks
Hey, I’d like the sheikh to make a pass at me. He’s hot!!!

Condemn actual violence, sexual or otherwise. Just recognize the first sentence is often the most accurate: some gay men enjoy “violence” as sexual play (some heteros do, too)..it’s just not “real” violence….check the average paddle-it’s more noisemaker than mark-maker.

Trying again:

Yeah, Martin, I agree with you on what you say. But my point was about the general state of things, regarding violence (sexual and otherwise) towards men. It is made more pertinent by a recent findings (whose accuracy I cannot of course guarantee) that domestic violence has a high prevalence among gay men. And I stress the word “general”; I certainly wasn’t trying to highlight the American vs Arab point here. I happen to be neither American nor Arab. Just sort of bi!
Mr. D.
Good point RomaR, but how prevalent and pertinent is it, when this story is being covered up by the press! Did you notice only the Washington Times has written about it so far? Maybe their all waiting for closer to the trial of this sheikh, but it seems odd that a member of a ruling royal family and hgh ranking official is facing trial for doing this to an American citizen, and mum’s the word? Incredibly hypocritical..when this sheikh did this he was the son of the president of the UAE and now the brother of the ruler…if it were the son of our USA President Bush who did something as barbaric as this to an Arab citizen of the Emirates, what would have happened? Would the press be all ove it? Bush would give his left ball to keep this quiet for his oil buddies. I smell a cover-up!
M Shane
Well, of course. Just think how well Bush kept it hushed that it was Saidi’s that brought us 9/11. The press would hardly quiet it down if it was an Iraqi or even if they thought it was false.
The other fact is that it would be a hodgepodge admitting that the Arabs (even the strictest Moslems, did in fact tolerate homosexuality, wghen the press has gone all out to point out Moslem intolerance.
Mr. D.
I get the feeling this story has huge ramifications. Once this trial gets underway, there is going to be a lot of questions asked. its a massive story! The land of hypocrits is being called out on this one, and exposed in amjor way; and if this Gay Sheikh is convicted, he and his country will be forever known as the biggest hypocrits in the Arab world….this is my friends is the big one.

I have seen Sylvano Orsini on TV and I am trying to find his websit since I am an American Citizen living in France, near Geneva, and I have suffered violence repeatedly with no help from the gendarmes, or from USA despite havig written to Colin Powel personally and to the White House.
I am not male, or gay, or young, but I would like help from other Americans who have suffered violence abroad.
Thanks for posting this even though I am not going to register for an account. I am not a typical customer for you.
M Shane
Patricia: I wouldn’t count on the current U.S. government for help: they have gotten more attention the last few years for arresting and exporting citizens to torture them: it’s called ‘extraordinary rendition”. I can’t imagine that there aren’t people in France who would help you. It sounds like you might be living in the wrong place., if the local gendarmes, don’t help, if you are always being molested.
Mr. D.
The website for Silvano Orsi and “Victims of Violence Abroad” is – http://www.victimsofviolenceabroad.com , I just looked it up on the web…I saw him on Fox news today too! This is getting huge!
