Twelve Days of Drag: Ongina

Hometown: Seattle, but I now reside in Los Angeles.

Favorite City: I lived in NYC for six years and it still has a special place in my heart, but more recently I’ve come to love San Francisco more and more.

Favorite Bar: Since I work in nightlife, this one is hard. Locally, I love Micky’s in West Hollywood. I also enjoy happy hour at the Abbey which surprisingly has really good finger foods.

What would you like for the holidays?: This year, I asked Santa for various kitchen items and world peace.

Best place for last minute shopping ideas: Amazon.com. But if I need something the day before, the local mall is the best place. I’m a seasoned shopper so I know how to handle the crazy foot traffic and get in and get out. The lines at the register however, I don’t have control over. So normally I go the minute they open.

Favorite Winter Activity: Snuggle up in bed watching movies.

Best Holiday Song? “All I Want for Christmas Is You” is still the best Christmas song ever.

What are your plans for New Years Eve? This year I’m celebrating the New Years with a few queens up in Sacramento for a show. We’re going to be at Faces and it should be a fun evening.

What’s next? I’m still currently traveling and performing. On the 28th I go to Hawaii to perform at Bar Seven. I’m so excited. People can also follow me on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter under Ongina. Happy Holidays!
