The newest trend for Spring 2016: butt cleavage. At least that’s the message Brit brand Sibling sent down the runway last week in London.

The design trio — consisting of Joe Bates, Sid Bryan and Cozette McCreery — were serving Johnny Unitas gone Mod at the Whiskey A-Go-Go on acid with a football-themed show heavy on Saville Row tailoring and low on the models’ firm backsides.

“All the lace trousers were knitted, they’d come from a very traditional pair of NFL sports trousers,” McCreery told i-D, “and the guys would always wear jock straps underneath it, and you just naturally get that gap – we just made the tops a bit shorter so the gap was a bit more obvious! But none of those guys had a problem with it.”

We don’t have a problem with it either.

Of course, this isn’t the first time the butt has reared its head in fashion, lest we forget Alexander McQueen’s iconic bumsters from the ’90s — as seen here in the late designer’s Savage Beauty retrospective.

Come to think of it, McQueen also had a football-themed show back with his Spring 2005 collection, It’s Only a Game:

McQueen’s may have been more haute couture, but Sibling definitely had its own charms.
