Ah, we’ve missed you Barney.
The former Congressman appeared on CNBC to discuss Arizona’s “right to discriminate” bill and broke it down with his patented “I can’t believe we’re even having this conversation” attitude that makes us wish he was still in office.
Here’s some of what he told anchor Bernie Lo:
It’s a license for anybody to engage in discrimination as long as they cite religion…This ridiculous bill — and I’m just reading it over and appalled at how stupid it is — what it says is that if you have a religious objection to any law in Arizona, you don’t have to obey that law. That’s essentially it.

Private citizens have the right to discriminate. It is part of freedom of association. Whether it is wise or not is irrelevant. FORCE is never the answer.

@chaddyboy6: You are right. You have a right NOT to accommodate anyone in your private home if you do not want to but when you open a business to serve the PUBLIC then you serve the PUBLIC. if you don’t like the heat, then get out of the kitchen.

Barney Frank – You ROCK! Love the beard and my God you have lost so much weight! BTW the bill was a conservative piece of garbage. Actually helped the equal marriage cause in AZ. Shows who all the homophobes are – they can’t hide now!!
