Barney Blasts McCain

barney-frank-1.jpg
Hilarious homo-politico Barney Frank put funny business aside recently to blast Republican John McCain’s gay record.

And, to make sure McCain gets the message, Frank put in some necessary fear mongering:

In every other area, McCain has a consistent voting record against our efforts. In 1996, the only time the Senate voted on the Employment Nondiscrimination Act, McCain was one of those who voted no. He has also consistently voted against extending hate crimes protection to gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender individuals.

Given the alignment of Supreme Court Justices, and their ages, it is virtually certain that if John McCain is president, he will appoint justices who will overturn the Lawrence decision and the leading Supreme Court opponent of fair treatment for gay and lesbian people, Antonin Scalia, will gain allies from McCain’s appointments.

That’s what we’re talking about!

After last week’s gay marriage decision and seeing some gay Republicans crticize the decision, I was curious as to how any gay person could support McCain over the Democratic nominee, much less be a Republican. The only conclusion I could reach is that gay Republicans have sold their soul to the almighty (weak) dollar.

I see the same thing happen to other minorities as well, where their own civil rights and well-being of the group have less importance than their own selfish, financial prosperiety. Such thinking is myopic, delusional, and self-defeating in the long run.

Barney is right to call McCain out for what he is and what he is not. McCain may continue the Bush tax cuts for the rich, but he is certainly not a friend to the gay rights movement.

Barney Frank is not perfect (no one is), but he is among the more articulate members of Congress.

It is loud and clear folks: if John McCain wins, the Supreme Court gets MORE CONSERVATIVE. That is so scary, on so many levels and makes it even more clear that gays need to get out and vote DEMOCRAT this fall. Same-sex marriage will probably always be an uphill battle (for the foreseeable future anyway) but with even one more Anton ‘Mussolini’ Scalia in there, it’s all over. DO NOT VOTE REPUBLICAN BECAUSE YOU’RE PISSED OFF HILLARY DIDN’T GET THE NOMINATION. Grow a set and vote for what makes sense already.

Even if jokers like Lane Hudsen who want to criticise the caution of Obama etc. have no comprehesion of the other risks with McCain, maybe they can assume the selfish posture that they will be dealing with unbearable legal prejudice of kind folks like Alioto: and we are talking about a lot of it, since the neocons have no respect for an IMPARTIAL COURT(courts kids).

Either figure out the realities or wonder what it will be like behind bars. Just think!

Barney the Gay Dinosaur should improve his own record. He made excuses for Bill Clintion when he betrayed us with “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” He attacked Bradley for being more lgbt supportive than Al Gore in 2000. He has sabotaged ENDA in several important respects. He supported Hillary Clinton even though she was tied as least supportive Democrat on queer issues with Joe Biden.

“Keating Five” McCain is a corrupt, heterosexist fool. But, Frank should focus more on cleaning up his own act.

Libhomo, do you seriously think what Barney Franks says in this comment should be ignored? He isn’t the only one saying it. Everything he says about McCain is true. Are you really a lib homo or a GOP plant? I really put nothing past Republican operatives including planting comments such as yours.
