Yes, the very nature of James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” is to humanize celebrities — see, they ride in cars, too! — though the segment can sometimes turn into laughing at the novelty of fans freaking out when they realize a pop star is in the next ride over. Justin Bieber, anyone?
But Adele’s recent appearance has none of the fame and all of the fun.
Watch as the two cruise around the wet streets of London, and if you’re like us, you’ll feel comfortable enough to want to grab a glass of wine or four with the 27-year-old singer afterwards.
And who knew she had such mad flow?!
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

What a good sport! What a charmer! What a lady!

Adele is so freaking awesome! She just seems like a real down to earth chick that would totally start drinking wine with you if she saw you out, lol!

I don’t think James Corden does these to “humanize celebrities”. He does these because it’s fun and entertaining, a mix of an interview and karaoke. Just because some celebrities are more relaxed in these segments and make you feel like they’re human doesn’t mean that’s what the objective “goal” is. So stop the know-it-all condescension, because you’re wrong, and it’s annoying.

I do not like Adele’s music (because i’m old blanche, i’m old) but I always figured she was a charming woman. and she is.

Adele proves she’s one of us? As in us who? Gays? No she’s appropriating black culture and her Nicki Rap was the stand out. Us = black people not gay people just sayin,
honestguy111
But that’s a Brit thing. Brits Londoners and those in the UK are very funky, they have a love for black people and black culture you can hear it in their music. So I’m not completely surprised she’s a Nicki fan.

Love James.
He’s not really driving though, right? Hands off the wheel too much to be safe.

@martinbakman: Just read something from a producer of the show this morning that he’s going twenty MPH tops on routes with light traffic and two cars in front of him and two behind. We’re also seeing fifteen minutes of hours of footage…
