Ocasio-Cortez attended Yorktown High School, graduating in 2007.[16] She came in second in the Microbiology category of the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair with a microbiology research project on the effect of antioxidants on the lifespan of the nematode C. elegans. She graduated cum laude from Boston University’s College of Arts and Sciences in 2011, majoring in international relations and economics. Oh btw, she did that even though after her father died in 2008, she took a job working as a bartender to help save the family home from foreclosure. Graduating cum laude while working at a job is pretty amazing.
I seriously doubt that djmcgamester has even opened a book on economic much less graduated cum laude with a degree in economics. Just as I am equally certain Roy Moss and djmcgamester cannot even articulate what her actual positions are on any specific topic much less explain specifically with actual data and rational argument why she is incorrect. Within it, she advocated for demolishing all current buildings and rebuilding them, outrageous taxes, ending the use of oil, hurting farming, and giving people who “don’t want to work” financial security.
Democrats even know the Green New Deal is outrageous, that’s why they fall short of supporting it and talk all around supporting it. They wouldn’t even vote yes on it, they just voted “present”. That says a lot.
She’s even angered her own district with her vocal opposition of bringing Amazon to NY which cost the city an immense amount of potential tax revenue. She then idiotically said that NY should use the money saved from giving a tax cut to invest it LOL. You can’t invest money that didn’t exist. NY didn’t “give” Amazon money.
You know this, but you’ll pretend like it’s the people who mock her that are afraid. You know she’s ditzy, that’s why you don’t want her wild statements to be publicized that’s why you’ll cry “Leave AOC Alone!!!”

It’s truly depressing to read some of these comments. AOC may not be perfect, but she is doing what she believes in and she is a zillion times better than Trump and the Gang. She is an intelligent woman who is NOT one of the 1% (a “real person”) and what she is doing with the Green New Deal, despite all the inflated claims by the right and some Dems who use the word “socialist” as an insult, is LAUDABLE and IMPORTANT. And for the record, standing up for herself when others try to demean her with artificial exaggerations, full-on lies and direct slurs is not putting people down. The only reason it’s disturbing to some people is because she is a direct, strong woman and that just can’t be tolerated. She isn’t sold to douchey, crooked financial interests and that can’t be tolerated. She cares about things that NEED DOING instead of playing the stupid game that everyone seems so intent on participating in and that, too, cannot be tolerated.
Some things need to be done—and there are so few people voicing the very real needs of climate change. She wants to improve the world, as opposed to Trump who just wants to score a few more bucks off a gullible, frightened citizenship.
