You’ve likely heard by now that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, are leaving the U.K. and relocating to Canada in an effort to distance themselves from the royal family and lead more independent lives.
In a statement issued earlier today, Queen Elizabeth II said:
Today my family had very constructive discussions on the future of my grandson and his family. My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan’s desire to create a new life as a young family. Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working Members of the Royal Family, we respect and understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family.

Harry had to have foreseen all of this and I have no doubt this is how he planned his exit from a family he knows he has no blood ties to. The last I heard a male is suppose to look something like at least ONE of the males in his line. Harry looks like NONE of them. Haven’t you noticed how few pictures exist of him and his “father”, Prince Charles? Side by side they dont even come off as distant cousins. Were I Harry I would demand no less than $100 million per year for my silence and if they did not agree I would publicly challenge ol’ Prince Charles to a paternity test. I bet they’d give him more to shut up.

How is this Meghan’s fault? Harry wanted to renounce his title years ago. Nothing to do with her. And put his baby picture next to Charles’s. Almost identical. He looks exactly like his grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh. Why don’t people focus on the real “spoilt brat” of the family, Andrew? He stands accused of statutory rape!

The Queen wasn’t particularly fond of Diana. I’ve no doubt she’d have happily exposed Diana as an adulterer were Harry NOT Charles’. I also doubt the Queen, who is very prim, proper, and dedicated to the crown, would allow Harry to live as a Prince, sixth in line to the throne, be paid for by the people – If Harry wasn’t Charles’.
I wouldn’t particularly say William looks like Charles. Nor would I say Beatrice or Eugenie look like Sarah or Andrew.
George, Charlotte and Louis all look alike but I’d say none look like Kate or William.

No one can deny that Harry and especially Megan has been treated appallingly by the British Tabloids, paparazzi and other media journalists. The outright hostility has mainly been simply because she’s of mixed race heritage. Whilst I do have great sympathy for all that harassment both she & Harry have endured let’s not forget that this sort of scrutiny on their lives was sadly not unexpected. Yes it’s wrong but a surprise NO, not to anyone, I do honestly feel we need some sort of privacy legislation in these particular cases. I was a huge fan of Princess Diana but I do remember how she manipulated the press with secret briefings when it was convenient for her. Harry too has courted them so it’s a double edged sword he’s been playing with.
I wish them luck in their new lives yet their statement about wanting to be financially independent was insulting. With a combined net worth of some $25+million they should think about those average people, whose taxes have paid for their privilege, whom have to work long & hard hours for a living, those on the breadline reliant on food banks or just earning minimum wage struggling to pay rent & heat their homes in winter before making such a ridiculous statement. The taxpayers of the U.K. have given him a fabulous lifestyle and luxuriously $3.5 Million refurbished home. A wedding costing $50M It was all done because he was working as a senior member for the Royal Family that he got it. If he leaves he should vacate the house or pay market value rent to at least repay those costs.
If they are to cash in on their new found “private” citizens status they should also NOT keep the HRH or Duke & Duchess titles. Cashing in on their Rent-a-Royal status should not be a fast track to riches. Let them earn their cash simply as Mr. Mrs. Mountbatten-Windsor. Plenty will still want to be associated with them & I don’t begrudge them a penny of their current wealth or that they’ll make they just need to wake up and see the real world. Oh and also hire a decent PR spokesperson to stop ridiculous statements like the financial independent remarks.

The tabloids harassed her, and unlike Kate who was raised dreaming of growing up to be a Princess, Meghan is from North America, made her own money and already had a life. She’s removing herself from the situation and the British Press is panicking because they got called out on their behavior.

People don’t like Meghan for many reasons. None of them have to do with her being half black. They don’t like her for the way she treats he own dad, her sister, driving a wedge between Harry and his brother (something Diana never wanted), thinking she’s better than everyone by demanding no one is allowed to sit by her at a tennis game, crying about climate change while using a private jet 3 times in a week, etc
If people were racist toward her, they would be celebrating her exit, not decrying it.

Sweetie, there are shots of the exact same paper praising Kate Middleton for eating avacados while pregnant and attacking Markle for it. The same papers that praised Kate for cradling her pregnant belly attacked Meghan for doing the same thing etc….
But it’s always adorable seeing how far you will go to defend racism and bigotry. See you next time!
