A group of people walking down the street

In case you haven’t heard, the 2018 midterm elections are today. Regardless of the outcome, this year is already historic, with a record number of LGBTQ candidates, female candidates, and minority candidates on the ballots.

To drum up even more enthusiasm among LGBTQ voters, a team of talented singers and dancers have reimagined Beyoncé’s song “Run the World (Girls)” by turning it into a queer midterm election anthem.

The video’s description reads:

Inspired by the Queen Bey herself. Let’s show ’em who run the world. Get out and SLAY the VOTE on November 6th! Run the World (Gays) is a music video parody celebrating the unprecedented turnout of LGBTQ candidates running in the 2018 midterm election. Standing on the shoulders of giants, we now run for more than tolerance and hope. We run for acceptance and equality–in our society, in our communities, and in elected office.

We think Bey would definitely approve. Happy voting!

Watch.
