In case you haven’t heard, the 2018 midterm elections are tomorrow. And they’re going to be historic.
Not only is voter enthusiasm higher than ever, with over 30 million early ballots already cast, but young voters are expected to turn out at record-breaking levels. And not just that, but there is a record number of LGBTQ candidates, female candidates, and minority candidates.

Time reports:
The country could elect its first openly transgender governor, first Native American governor and its first black woman governor this year. Arizona and Tennessee could send women to the U.S. Senate for the first time. And the U.S. House of Representatives could get its first Somali-American and Native American woman.

Plus let’s not forget Jarid Polis, who could make history as the country’s first openly gay governor if he’s elected in Colorado, as well as Gov. Kate Brown, up for re-election in Oregon, who became the first openly bisexual person elected as a state’s governor in 2015.
