Chelsea Manning is giving Bette Midler a run for her money.
In a tweet dated December 25, the transgender prisoner went on a tirade about Caitlyn Jenner, writing, “In 2015 @Caitlyn_Jenner ws the grinch who stole (& sold out) the trans movement. All I want 4 Xmas is Universal Trans Lib. #ChristmasEve2015”:
In 2015 @Caitlyn_Jenner ws the grinch who stole (& sold out) the trans movement. All I want 4 Xmas is Universal Trans Lib. #ChristmasEve2015
— Chelsea Manning (@xychelsea) December 24, 2015
Manning, formerly Bradley Manning, is currently serving out a 35-year sentence for submitting classified documents to WikiLeaks in 2010.

How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
In early 2015, Manning requested permission to grow her hair out. Government officials denied the request, leading to a law suit filed in federal court in Washington.
The suit claims that gender-appropriate grooming falls under the recognized treatment for gender dysphoria and should be allowed.
In August, Manning was charged with four violations of custody rules, including having possession of the June 2015 Vanity Fair issue that featured Caitlyn Jenner on the cover.

If Manning’s main concern was to grow his hair long, what a sad state of affairs it is!!! It seems many of these men are fixated on having long flowing hair. If they see long flowing hair as being a pre-requisite to being a woman, then they are truly ridiculous.

Lest we forget it was the gay and trans community that made Caitlyn.
The moment she announced she was trans they made her the poster child for the movement shoving her into the spotlight with both a ton of pressure to be everything, while not knowing a damn thing. They should have left her alone and saw who she was before they put her on the pedestal.
So complain about her all you want, it was the respective communities that sold themselves out – not Caitlyn. She was just doing her.

How did she ‘sell out’. I’ll tell you. Every one of those people expected to be rescued. They pray for some wealthy male to ‘come along ‘ and either adopt them, or make ‘gifts’ to them. They look for enormous sums of money. The majority were poor men that believed that men would provide for them. They believe, secretly, that women have soft easy lives and all one need do is buy mascara and be taken care of. They live in a sort of dream world. They don’t notice women that work hard for a living, and that’s how they were all let down. They all expected to be invited to parties, promoted into movies and showered with gifts.

I am with you on that one. Don’t know why but Jenner does not ring right…..I think he is just competing with all these women in his entourage….maybe, the poor guy may not even know he is. That would be tragic. He lost his persona, long ago. The sex is not related…it has to do with self-esteem . At his age, no gender is important. The soul is what matters and it is genderless. Older people do not care….so what’s with him ? whoa…..

Both have no real character and one committed a very serious crime. Well actually both did… Though Caitlyn got away with texting while driving. in my opinion, Caitlyn Jenner reinforces the idea that “some people” have an exaggerated idea of what “feminine” is. It just seems to me that having a desire to transform from what Bruce Jenner was to what Caitlyn Jenner is is a “condition” yet to be named.
Brian
Bruce Jenner’s alter ego, Caitlyn Jenner, is just that – an alter ego. It lacks a vagina, it lacks ovaries, it lacks a uterus, it lacks the ability to become pregnant. In no way, shape or form is it a woman. All it is is an alter ego. It’s a living, breathing alter ego.
I also think his alter ego is based on the lesbian fetish which straight-identifying men often have. I can imagine Bruce performing cunnilingus on a woman while fantasizing about the lesbian scenario it presents to his mind, thus enabling him to ejaculate.
I’m not saying that Bruce isn’t entitled to his fetishes. Of course he is. But these sorts of fetishists are NOT generally on the side of the male homosexual rights movement to any serious extent.
Zachary Kizer
You’re a mean one, Miss Jenner, you really ARE a heel!

Isn’t this want to be queen the same Manning who gave out America secrets as a solider? If anyone is a sell out its him, and then didn’t want to be ass raped in jail so he became a tranny…. Is he really a gay or just likes to play dress up… As for Bruce who cares… Cares at this point.

Bruce Jenner (won’t call him the other name) has used the LGBTQ Community for support and does nothing with the attention he has garnered from the spotlight to assist us. Period. He has, in fact, harmed us. He has said on many occasions that he does not support same sex marriage. He says he’s sorry but he’s a tradional personal who believes in “tradional family values”. Bullshit! He was pushed on the “Ellen” Show and finally acquiesced (under pressure) to say that “I guess I can understand same sex marriage and I support it.” What a piece of trash. Now he wants all the rights as a transgendered person (fought for by others) without supporting the same group that got them for him. Fucking Hypocrite!

While I will likely be attacked for defending her, I will do so anyway. Caitlyn Jenner is entitled to her own beliefs… her own philosophy and her own way of doing things. The concept of diversity (which so many love to drape themselves in) means that you also need to appreciate the differences in people even when their actions or beliefs may run counter to your own. So she’s for the GOP… so what? So she didn’t speak out in the manner you or your friends think she should have. So she benefitted from her celebrity… fine! At the end of the day, as long as she’s happy with herself then what the hell business is it of anyone else? Personally, I don’t care what she does… I wish her well… as I do the rest of you that are criticizing her 😉 Let’s all just try to realize that our journeys don’t have to be alike!

Some of you queens are insane for calling Bradly manning a traitor, if it wasn’t for him we would not have known the extent of your government’s tyranny on spying on all of you.
So much for protecting your own constitution in the same of the national security state; People like many of you reminds me of the scene in Star Wars when the senators were clapping their own freedom away.
youarekiddingme
@Hussain-TheCanadian: Uh, Manning was in the military. He took an oath and is/was subject to the UCMJ. He is definitely a TRAITOR. He got off light on his sentence. There are ways of exposing corruption in the government. In the military (unfortunately) you DO give up some of your rights…Fact of Life (even in the Canadian Military).
Hussain-TheCanadian
@youarekiddingme: I understand what you’re saying but to act as if he’s a traitor to the American people while the same government that jailed him was hiding one of the most comprehensive spy program ever on American soil no less, violating the very constitution those suites were supposed to be protecting is a bit rich to hear them squealing “traitor”.
Have you not read his defense and the defense written on his behalf by Glenn Greenwald?
Kangol
@Tess Emery: Caitlyn Jenner supports anti-gay, anti-trans Republicans.
She’s praying with a rabidly anti-gay, anti-trans minister.
She repeatedly shows she doesn’t give a flying f!ck about any trans people but herself.
I support her transition but I wish the media would stop elevating her above all the other trans people who are real activists.
Why can’t you see this?
Giancarlo85
@Hussain-TheCanadian: Sorry but no. Many of the secrets he leaked were classified and had nothing to do with domestic spying. He is definitely a traitor and if it was up to me would be serving a life sentence. Learn the facts before you post. You probably believe Snowden too… Who cried about democracy yet resides in Russia now.
Giancarlo85
Correction: SHE. Manning is trans, but I don’t care for criminals.
By the way, Jenner should be behind bars too. She caused the death of another human being because of reckless driving. She should be facing at least a decade or two for that. But she has money so that won’t happen.
youarekiddingme
@Hussain-TheCanadian: I actually have read a lot of Manning’s defense. Most of what he said implied that the information that he leaked did not result in any “harm” to anyone (I.e., no troop locations, CIA info, etc). I must admit though that the only things I’ve read of Greenwald’s Defense were probably those posted in the media. I have not actually read the “official” Greenwald Defense Transcript per se.
I agree with the things you say about the violation of the Constitution but that all started back in October 2, 2011 when the Patriot Act was introduced into the House. It was a mere 23 days after the attacks on September 11. I have read the Patriot Act and I can tell you that there is NO WAY that law could have been written in 23 days (the law was authored by a Republican Representative from Wisconsin). The law is intertwined with many government agencies, other US Codes, Regulations, etc and is extremely complex. It realistically probably took months to draft that law. My thought is that it was written and waiting in the Representatives drawer for just the right opportunity to suspend citizen’s freedoms.
My thought concerning Manning and his leaks bringing the violations of the Constitution to light…I don’t think so. The Act was brought to the House on October 2, 2011. The media was well aware of what was going on by the time that Manning committed his leak in February 2010. I see no connection whatsoever to what he did and any discovery of the suspension of the Constitution/spying by the government. He was NOT doing anyone any favors. He was no hero in my or most anyone else’s eyes.
Again, he was in the Army and therefore subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice. He had a higher standard of conduct to uphold. He didn’t even maintain a normal citizen’s level of conduct. I can’t, in any way, paint him as some sort of folk hero.
Hussain-TheCanadian
@Giancarlo85: The man is a whistle-blower, and the leeks we got are about the Crimes the Bush, and later Obama, administrations were covering – The Iraq logs, diplomatic cables, and the Afghan logs – He exposed the American government’s corruption, deceptiveness, and illegality.
I did conflate Manning and Snowden there for a second – but none the less both men are heroes. It’s your shame that the man resides in Russia and cannot return home without being thrown in prison by the same political charlatans who want to put him on trail.
***Learn the facts before you post.***
That’s enough out of you for one day; the flame war you ignited on the other thread is quite evident you need to relax, and stop being so rude. I am not rude to you, don’t be rude to me.
Hussain-TheCanadian
@youarekiddingme: I understand and appreciate what you wrote; for me personally it leaves a bad taste in my mouth that only the whistle-blower is being punished and not the military men and politicians who committed the more serious crimes as revealed by the documents leaked.
Manning comes off as a sacrifice at the alter of power and corruption; there is plenty of room in that jail cell for many many politicians who violated the laws, including the top brass of the Bush administration, and even some in the Obama one.
TommyBr
Huh? It seems some commentators here are confusing Chelsea Manning’s ‘Scorched-Earth’ vendetta with the Edward Snowden revelations about NSA spying which so deeply embarrassed President Obama.
Chelsea Manning HAS had a very difficult life. Poor Chelsea. But Poor Chelsea has also deeply hurt the LGBT community.
Maybe some here don’t know, but Bill Clinton did a lot to help LGBT people be able to get security clearances during his administration, to have the basic trust that they that were capable of handling classified information without immediately calling a foreign government/gossip columnist/blogger despite their “tendencies.” Enter Chelsea.
Sweet Thing leaked HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of documents to WikiLeaks. Hmmm… Sorry Chelsea supporters, but she couldn’t possibly have read them all, even if she devoted a year to it. She was trying to HARM, to HURT, due apparently to her belief that she was JUSTIFIED hurting the Establishment that she felt hurt her as an LGBT person. And as the icing on the cake, her supporters/enemies relentlessly insist on linking her CRIMES to the LGBT movement. AT EVERY DAMN PRIDE FESTIVAL. To her supporters, do you expect a “Thank You”?
Captain Obvious
What a mess some of these comments are. Please don’t vote. Just go back on Grindr and settle for your vapid West Hollyweird life in silence. Stupid is as stupid does.
youarekiddingme
@Hussain-TheCanadian: I hear you. Just don’t see him as a “whistle blower.” He leaked so many documents (what thousands of pages)? Not for the purposes of exposing anything to “The American People.” He had no such intention. I don’t really think that a direct link could be established to show that he was a any kind of a whistle blower. Politicians VOTED for the Patriot Act which allow/allowed those suspensions of freedoms.
This is all pretty much politics as usual. Plenty of dirt to sling. Much of it in Canada as well. Not much in this area because they aren’t involved in world affairs the way the US is…they also haven’t been attacked either.
Oh well, good night. Nice talking with you.
lauraspencer
She tweets from prison?!?!?!??! Maybe I should go to prison. If I can tweet, watch GENERAL HOSPITAL 5 days a week, have a gym and 3 meals a day then sign me up!
Giancarlo85
@Hussain-TheCanadian: No I am sorry but neither of them are heroes, nor did I ignite any flame war. Snowden is a hypocritical criminal who was actually supportive of Bush himself. And what crimes? The only crime committed was by both of them. The lionshare of what was leaked was not about domestic spying, but rather put US personnel in danger, whether it be military or civilians overseas. It also potentially compromised US intelligence overseas when it was most vital as a weapon against terrorism. Your praise is dangerously misplaced and misguided.
Your criticism is misguided and totally inaccurate. Not only have both Snowden and Manning put US citizens in danger, they damaged this country’s ability to conduct intelligence operations against terrorists. They are nothing more than plain traitors.
inbama
@Giancarlo85: The poor Canadian is mistaking Manning for Snowden!
Giancarlo85
This is slightly off topic, but a poll analysis of around 85,000 voters (yes, 85,000+) shows why Republicans are totally screwed coming up to this election.
They have lost even more ground among young and Hispanic voters, and more and more Americans overall have registered as Democrats while less are republicans.
https://www.yahoo.com/news/republicans-come-short-search-diverse-voters-2016-election-110815857.html
The biggest part of this is part affiliation. Republicans have successfully alienated huge parts of this country. People are pissed off with them, and instead of trying to send a more positive message, they keep making statements of hatred. It is my bet republicans will even lose the Cuban vote in Florida again and they were traditionally conservative republican.
Giancarlo85
*party affiliation.
And 87,000+… If you want a poll with the strongest sampling this one is unmatchable. Gay Republicans… You should brace yourself for a major shellacking next year.
Glücklich
Neither character is particularly savory: churchy conservative Caitlyn with a gaggle of fucked-up family; treasonous nut-job jail-bird Chelsea. Trangenders ought to disown both of these messy bitches.
http://www.cbsnews.com/videos/preview-into-dangerous-hands/
Giancarlo85
@Glücklich: When Caitlyn votes for Ted Cruz all of her supporters will disappear in shame. The other one compromised our nations ability to conduct intelligence operations (the defense that Manning did not put US personnel in harms way is incorrect).
Oh and I think people forget that the actions of Caitlyn, killed another person. If any of us did what she did, we would be looking at jail time.
onthemark
@Giancarlo85: I have to agree with you there. It’s surprising that her driving incident didn’t make MUCH more news than it did. Most of the public doesn’t even seem to be aware of it.
o.codone
Hillary Clinton, another incompetent old-school fat bitch politician also made classified information available to the Russians and the Chinese and needs to be in jail right next to Manning because she too is a traitor. I do feel an indictment coming.
Also, what the fu ck does transvestitism have anything to do with being gay? Why is it LGBTQ? I think it’s time to get rid of a few initials here. Get your own identity girls, don’t hitch your identity problems to the gay political movement.
And now, I’m about to be attacked by Hillary Clinton’s attack fa g, Giancarla85, who simply can never keep her mouth shut.
SonOfKings
There is something distasteful about treason, whatever the excuse given. Manning and Snowden are both traitors and drama queens, who should be put away forever. Caitlyn Jenner is Trans, not Gay. She doesn’t owe us anything. Let it go.
Hussain-TheCanadian
@Giancarlo85: With all due respect, I disagree, especially in the case of Snowden – He is more of Hero than Manning, and any claims that he placed “the troops” in danger, or any American citizen is interesting, it’s the claim made against any whistle-blower who exposes the criminality of their government.
If your government gave damn about the troops or the American citizenry, I wouldn’t have to look beyond the drone program and really wonder how a people can allow their government to murder people, including American citizens, form the sky without trail.
Hussain-TheCanadian
@youarekiddingme: Thank you for the nice chat, I appreciate it.
Here in Canada, we also are battling the disaster that was left to us by the conservative government, and that includes extra powers given to the police and our intelligence agency that includes spying – The Liberals have promised to “tweak” the laws to include oversight, so we will see.
Giancarlo85
@Hussain-TheCanadian: You are of course wrong. Snowden is more of a criminal than Manning. And the claims I have made are accurate. asides from that, it is interesting you raise a criminal to hero status. That criminal supported Bush after all. But please give more excuses for reckless behavior. Snowden should get life behind bars.
SonOfKings
@Hussain-TheCanadian: You are completely uneducated. Firstly, murder is killing without social sanction. The U.S. Drone attacks against terrorists are socially and legally sanctioned by the proper U.S. Authorities. Secondly, do you not know what it takes to win global military conflicts? Intelligence, secrecy, and firepower are necessary elements. “Enemies foreign or domestic…” are fair game in war. Study WW II for starters.
Hussain-TheCanadian
@SonOfKings: You call me “uneducated” and it is you who is proposing a hypothesis based on “social sanction”? – When did the American public agree on, vote or accept that the American President can sign someone’s death warrant without due process, including American citizens mind you?
Who is a terrorist? How is it decided that a person can be murdered without due process? You trust the “US Authorities” to make that decision for you? So in times of war, it is ok to suspend your own constitution?
Who Defines “secrecy”? It seems to me you’d do well living in a dictatorship – it’s very fitting since some of your government biggest allies are exactly those.
I’m a WW II buff, and I know what “secrecy” the Allies kept and did not – I find it amusing that you think ISIS or Al-Qaeda are being equitable to Nazi Germany – It is you who needs to read up my friend.
brooklynbobby
@Erin King: Agreed!
DuMaurier
She’s allowed to tweet?
SonOfKings
@Hussain-TheCanadian: Fool. Killing enemy combatants is not murder. President Obama is not a murder. By your definition, he should be executed for what you term “murder?” What it murder to kill Osama Bin Laden? And where did I say ISIS is the strategic equivalent of Nazi Germany? I simply stated that in war you need to employ war fighting tactics, which include secrecy, and punish traitors who blab to the enemy. And if ISIS gets nukes, then they may kill as many Americans as the Nazis did.
Giancarlo85
@Hussain-TheCanadian: You do not realize what as actually released and how it undermined US intelligence. Now this country is having issues keeping tabs on terrorist groups in the middle east.
And murdered without due process? If a country is in the midst of war and you’re getting fired on, you have a right to return fire. That’s what the Iraqi Army did in the case of Ramadi, and soon they will encircle Mosul. They don’t have the time to try to “arrest” ISIL members and try them. They need to eliminate the problem.
Killing enemy combatants is not murder. If someone is in fact killing others they need to be eliminated. ISIL is an organization that needs to be eliminated. That will take force. There is no other way around it and that is exactly what Obama is doing. Republicans cry at him for not doing enough actually.
ISIL is going to start lashing out harder, especially as Iraqi and Syrian forces encircle them and defeat them.
http://www.dw.com/en/iraqi-army-eyes-mosul-after-retaking-ramadi/av-18949145
This is about to explode… if Iraqi Troops retake the city, ISIL could launch serious reprisals. Again, enemy combatants need to be removed without trial. You cannot arrest people who are shooting at you.
Giancarlo85
@o.codone: Blah blah blah blah. You think a lot of things… Most of them false. I don’t care for your stupidity. Hillary isn’t getting indicted for anything as there is nothing.
You are just pissed she holds commanding leads over the republicans.
You are a total and complete fool. Avoid this subject and stop embarrassing yourself. The only indictment I see coming is that of Sheldon Adelson. He will take down many Republicans with him. You should be shaking in your shoes. He is under actual criminal investigation. Hillary, on the other hand, has done nothing wrong. You will continue with your vapid right wing bullshit though… Keep it up. I love when you embarrass yourself completely.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uzae_SqbmDE
Hussain-TheCanadian
@SonOfKings: No one blabbed to the enemy; the information was given to journalists who went through it and released what was deemed important to the public.
Also, when it comes to drones, how do you know who you’re killing? We don’t know how the targets are selected, why are they selected, what is their crime? No over-sight body………and you’re being spied on in the process.
How is any of this free or democratic?
Hussain-TheCanadian
@Giancarlo85: There are two problems when using the Iraqi Army’s example; firstly they are in the trenches fighting those who took over their cities, so I agree with you that bullets should be answered with bullets in this situation. The spying on all Americans and killing people using the drone program is not the same as above.
Secondly, we don’t know who the American government is killing; they say Terrorists, but we don’t know that. How many weddings and funerals have these drones crashed?
Also im not convinced that the American government is serious about destroying Daesh or Al-Qaeda; American allies in the region are financing them, and giving them weapons; how am I supposed to believe that you’re spying on me to “protect” me form the same people your allies are funding and backing?
Giancarlo85
@Hussain-TheCanadian: The spying on all Americans? This is a myth. The drone program kills terrorists and has taken out many high ranking members of groups like Al-Shabaab. It has proved effective in reducing the potency of these groups. If some Americans get killed if they took part in these groups, they are considered enemy combatants. They basically committed an act of treason.
I don’t care what you’re convinced about or not. It’s not of concern to me. As far as allies? Which one? Turkey? Relations with Turkey are quite frosty right now, especially after Turkey’s incredibly stupid move against the Russian jet. And after that, Russia simply stepped up flights and Turkey proved completely inept. Also Iraq basically demanded they remove their forces from their country. Turkey doesn’t have too many friends right now and Ergodan is on the end of the rope.
I’m not buying your conspiracies. Sorry.
