With his distinctive horn-rimmed glasses and quirky manner, Paul Marcarelli’s “Can you hear me now?” TV spots for Verizon made him one of the most successful commercial actors of the early 2000s. Marcarelli came out in 2011 when he wrote and produced the gay film The Green, starring Cheyenne Jackson (pictured above together at the film’s red carpet Outfest premiere).
This past year he switched teams to pitch for Sprint which today released their first (subtle but clear) gay commercial — starring Marcarelli and his real-life husband Ryan.
