I’ve never felt any sort of backlash or friction as a result of the stance I’ve taken in my career in support of [my brother] or any other human rights… hopefully it stays that way going forward.
It’s important to understand, whether it’s growing up with women, whether it’s growing up with other ethnic groups, it’s important to experience anything different from what you know to encourage and cultivate compassion and understanding.
Growing up with women helped me, but growing up in the theatre helped me, growing up in a progressive community helped me. I think it’s really important to put faces to the situations that we’re navigating as society.— Chris Evans to The Fix when asked what inspires his activism.

Gosh, these Hollywood actors know how to pander to gay men. Problem is, gay men can see right through them.
Note how it’s always the brother but never the actor himself. It’s always someone else who’s gay. LOL. I wonder how much training they’ve done to rehearse their stock answers and pandering press releases.
Hollywood studios can afford to pay for training courses in how actors should handle homosexual speculation, I’m sure.

Wow… I’m the first person who gets to comment. He sounds like a really nice, thoughtful individual. There are lots of great family members who speak out about injustice to make the world a better place. Good for them all!

@Daniel-Reader: LOL – I see what you did there.

..why are there so many stupid and scared ‘stuck in the mud’ people failing to accept that men will have sex with other men??? ALWAYS, and always have done!
A really true and good human being ‘Chris Evans’ stands out because he’s sensitive enough to realize his brothers true identity! A human condition.. which ridiculously gets ignored and even gets destroyed by vile, hypocritical religion…
Brian
@Daggerman: Religion is not the problem. Most opposition to male homosexual desire comes from women.

@Brian: Yeah, no. Just because you hate your mother doesn’t make your statement true.

Brian you might want to see a therapist for your issues because not every actor in Hollywood is only saying positive things about the LGBT community so they can make more $$. Contrary to your very pessimistic view some are honest and not afraid to say they support us.
