Jennifer Lopez took to the stage Tuesday night opposite Billy Porter and a drag troupe for an epic performance of her greatest hits.
Lopez, 52, accepted the Icon Award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards at a ceremony in Los Angeles. As part of the show, she performed a medley of her pop hits, including “On My Way,” “On the Floor,” and “Waiting for Tonight.” Emmy-winning Pose star Porter took to the stage to introduce the performance, and do a bit of a runway walk of his own.
“The word for tonight is ‘icon,’” Porter proclaimed to a standing ovation from the crowd.

How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
A troupe of drag queens–each dressed in some of Lopez’s most iconic looks–then took to the stage to a mash-up of her greatest hits. Yes, that includes the iconic green dress that helped make Lopez a style maven more than 20 years ago.
When Lopez herself finally took to the stage, she appeared in a long white faux fur coat with the word “Equality” embossed on the back. She then launched into a performance of her song “On My Way” as well as “Get Right.” During her acceptance speech, cameras also nabbed a shot of her current beau, Ben Affleck, giddy in the crowd.
Watch.
Naturally, given the level of fabulousness in the performance, Twitter had thoughts. Here are some of our favorite comments…

I’m so thankful I lip synced in that look, looking back it was destiny. I was told the reason we were asked to be a part of
@JLo ‘s moment was because she loved seeing the looks on her episode and that lipsync! #DragRace— Kerri “jungle dress” Colby (@kerricolby) March 23, 2022
Good morning to this beautiful blended family, and only to them ??

I have no more words for Jennifer Lopez to describe her impact on people and culture and my life and her beauty and kindness and all other things. I'm so amazed by her and so damn proud for everything she did (and will do in the future). ? @JLo pic.twitter.com/I6qos09ueX

There are some days where probably the only wish of mine that I'd ever want to come true would be for Marvel Studios to cast Billy Porter as Mister Sinister.

Update 3/24: A representative for PETA contacted us to clarify that Lopez’s coat was made of faux fur.

Women trans/cis cannot be drag queens.
Would me putting on a fake mustache and wearing a flannel shirt make me a drag king?
otttovan
Drag queens disagree with you. I think they know better than you do about drag

So, y’all just read the headline, huh?

LOL you are ridiculous. Anyone who would put catholic in his screen name esp on a gay website is either a fake troll or the most damaged gay guy EVER. That so called religion has done more harm to innocent gay people than rush limbaugh ever could. WHat a fool but hey keep asking Mary to forgive your sorry ass
