Jinkx Monsoon‘s hilarious cabaret show ‘The Vaudevillians’, which is playing summer-long at The Art House in Provincetown, Massachusetts, has been nominated for an Australian theater award!

Earlier this year Jinkx toured Australia with the show as part of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival, which has now earned her a Helpmann Award nomination for ‘Best Cabaret Performer’.

The Helpmann Awards, which began in 2001, are “similar to the Tony Awards on Broadway and the Olivier Awards in London” and “[recognize] distinguished artistic achievement and excellence in the many disciplines of Australia’s vibrant live performance sectors, including musical theatre, contemporary music, comedy, cabaret, opera, classical music, theatre, dance and physical theatre.”

Jinkx’s has been nominated alongside three other performers, including Lady Rizo from her self-titled show, Sarah Ward from ‘Yana Alana Between The Cracks’ and Tommy Bradson from ‘REG’.

Congratulations, Jinkx, on your nomination! We’re definitely rooting for you!
