We don’t know WTF is going on with Madonna and her eccentric behavior while on tour Down Under (including wearing a clown costume and crying while playing guitar in front of a giant photo of estranged son Rocco), but we still love her and think she just needs a very, very long rest. Anyway, to pay tribute to the Queen of Pop and her career-long LGBT advocacy director Dan Murphy and choreographer Aaron Farley enlisted more than 200 volunteers to run through an amazing series of production numbers inspired by Madonna tunes such as “Material Girl, “Express Yourself” and “Vogue.”
A statement on the Facebook page for Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras explains it:
As an artist, Madonna has helped define a generation during an era that has seen huge global changes, and diversity has ALWAYS been core to her message of self-expression and love. We hope that our video tribute goes someway to reflect the sheer joy, infinite love and deep respect that our diverse LGBTQI communities have for a unique performer who continues to empower, celebrate, and support us.

How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

Why are gays so thirsty for this wretched hag?

Been a fan since Borderline, she does what she wants and doesn’t give a f*** what anyone thinks. Even I don’t like all her songs, she kicks ass.

The gayest thing ive ever seen in in my life but it was good and there was quite a fit skin head dude in the video

Why is it that on these massage boards sometimes you see someone randomly just post a persons name like the post above. Is this a thing? What am I missing?

Ugh.

@Jaden Perry: she’s always promoted sexual independence and the enjoyment of sexual pleasure, for starters. She’s had relationships with women. She’s frequently featured gay men in her clips and employed gay male backup dancers. She sings club songs. It’s not such a mystery.

@samduncan: I was there watching this video being filmed. You guys were amazing, brought me to tears.

These are great. Especially the kids. Wasn’t too fond of the big Madonna puppet, because it took away from the dancers. Was this done by the same choreographer who did the Let’s Have a Kiki video? Dancing looks the same.

Madonna has done more positive things for the gay community than Queerty could even dream of. Why they continue to bash her is beyond me.

@Jaden Perry: Because she’s been a loyal ally to the gay community long before ignorant babyfags like yourself invented the phrase “thirsty”.
