Spring has sprung in the nation’s capital. And so have calls for Dr. Jill Biden to finally fix the rose garden ex-FLOTUS Melania Trump destroyed.
This morning, Dr. Biden shared a video of all the flowers blooming on the South Lawn of the White House right now.
“From the honey bees to the magnolias, Joe and I invite you to take a moment to enjoy the peace and serenity of the South Lawn in full bloom this Spring,” she tweeted.

While most people agree the flowers are gorgeous, almost immediately, they began begging Dr. Biden to please, please, please restore Melania’s murdered rose garden…
How about we take this to the next level?

When will you restore Jackie Kennedy’s Rose Garden?

Beautiful!
Can we now restore the people’s Rose Garden now? Please.
Back to its former beauty before the last administration destroyed it.

Melania famously had the rose garden, which was originally planted by Jackie Kennedy in 1962, torn out in 2019. She also had ten perfectly healthy crabapple trees removed for no reason. It was one of the few projects she actually accomplished during her short time as First Lady.

Three weeks after Melania unveiled the new garden, it had to undergo emergency repairs after the grass was badly damaged during the Republican National Convention, when hundreds of people trampled all over it.
Last April, a change.org petition received over 80,000 signatures from people asking Dr. Biden and second gentleman Doug Emhoff to fix the garden.
“We want Jill Biden and Doug Emhoff to take this on and restore the Rose Garden to [former first lady Jackie Kennedy’s] original design,” the Change.org petition said, noting that the renovations made by the Trump administration “ripped away” Kennedy’s legacy.
While you’re here, have a listen to the song “Flores Para Los Muertos” (Flowers For The Dead) from the soundtrack to the 1951 film A Streetcar Named Desire composted by Alex North…

“…from the soundtrack to the 1951 film A Streetcar Named Desire composted by Alex North…” – COMPOSTED? Is that a floral/agricultural joke… or are you really that bad of a speller? Come on…

This site is crap.

@Mr. Stadnick : Yet here you are quite often.
@Carabalda : Possibly both.

“Dr” Jill Biden – who isn’t a REAL doctor – looks like an aging and shriveled pole dancer.

Maybe all the people who are crying for the former Rose Garden should collect money to have it restored. What Mel did was not paid for by the government, it was paid for with private funds, just like that Pavillion she also “designed.” I would imagine the Biden’s don’t want to spend money out-of-pocket and probably don’t want to use up any good will with contributors to pay for the Rose Garden. It’s not that important in the scheme of things.

The Rose Garden was designed by Bunny Mellon and executed by Jackie and Bunny. The destruction of the garden by melanoma was prompted by a super spreader event that fat ass wanted have. Melanoma wouldn’t recognize good taste if it smacked her in her stretched face or her cannonball boobs. Look at her Christmas decorations. The red berry trees looked like a cheap carwash. Good taste is an alien concept to trash like her

Hey greekboy:
All of the Greek Orthodox people I know are very anti-gay. You experience that problem, too?

I suspect Jill has her own ideas for the White House gardens. She should move forward with her own plans instead of attempting to correct or reinstate the garden plans of former First Ladies. The best thing about gardens is that they reflect the ever-changing face of nature.

It’s really hard to replace something original once it’s torn out. Especially if the crabapples we’re destroyed being torn out roots and all. The worst part is should God forbid the Trump’s get back in office, she would just pull up whatever Jill did and replace it again out of spite.
HenryCameron
Pretty much nothing there was original. Flowers and shrubs had been swapped in and out. The crabapple trees had been replaced several times over the past 20 years. Apparently they had trouble keeping them healthy because the garden is overshadowed for a good part of the day by a big tree LBJ planted. Also, changes to the White House and grounds have to go through preservation committees, and there are other photos from the early 60s showing the Kennedy gardens looking much like the renovations except for the trees. A number of informative articles were published at the time of the renovations, and it’s easy to look them up, but why be informed when you can just be outraged.

All the polls have both Trump and DeSantis running well ahead of Joey.

I know this is all about the rose garden but I have to ask… Where did you get a photo of Melania with her eyes wide open???

I detest the Dumps as much as anyone. But the former First Lady did not single handedly ruin the rose garden. And in fact, the renovation addressed many issues that had been plaguing the space. There were several issues that were dealt with in the renovation. Aging infrastructure—irrigation, electrical, crab apple trees were growing too big and shading the flower beds below, to provide better access during events a narrow path was created. Melania did not design this. An actual landscape architect designed it to solve the practical issues at hand. Melania barely did anything except look at drawings and renderings. Do a little research and see the full story. Research the firms, Orhme Van Sweden and associates, Perry Guillot, who did the work under the White House preservation committee—a non partisan group who has to approve all changes to the White House. The full story is in architectural digest—a google link away. Let’s criticize the trumps for the many, many awful things they did (and continue to do). But criticizing something just because it was done under their term undermines credibility — it’s simply partisan and irriational.

Look, she pretty desperately wanted credit for the whole thing, so she deserves the blame. And it fits all her other joyless attempts at being classy. For a fake supermodel, she’s pretty damn basic.

It’s about time that the first family be more constrained about changes they can make to the people’s house
