Lana Del Rey isn’t kidding about that whole “gangster Nancy Sinatra” thing. Here we have America’s sweet tart covering Sinatra’s 1967 track “Summer Wine.” It retains that summer of love feeling, right down to the Instagram-filtered-Super-8-esque video. We’re not sure what this track is attached to, but coming just a few weeks after Del Rey’s cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Chelsea Hotel #2” it’s got us wondering if maybe a covers EP could be forthcoming. If so, there are a few Marianne Faithful songs Ms. Del Rey should probably take a crack at.

I read your last line about Marianne Faithful songs…Why on earth would we want to get her to sing other people’s songs when she is so clearly talented and amazing on her own? why do we always have to pigeon hole others? She is so unique and above anything out there at the moment. Get out of that box youre in!
