RuPaul’s Drag Race has won the ‘Outstanding Achievement in Reality Programming’ Award at the 2014 Television Critics Association Award!
This fairly new award was added to the TCA Awards in 2011 and RuPaul’s Drag Race joins the ranks of ‘The Amazing Race’ (2011), ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ (2012) and ‘Shark Tank’ (2013) as one of only four winners.
This year, Drag Race faced strong competition from fellow nominees, which included ‘The Amazing Race’, ‘Shark Tank’, ‘Survivor’ and ‘The Voice’.
Drag Race was nominated for this award at the end of May and winners were announced in Los Angeles at a ceremony held during the TCA’s bi-annual conference yesterday.
