Meet Gary Glenn. He’s a Republican member of the Michigan House of Representatives, Dr. Seuss fanatic, and advocate for all things antigay.
The former head of the American Family Association’s Michigan chapter appears in a documentary called Light Wins: How To Overcome The Criminalization Of Christianity, where he declares teachers who talk to students about homosexuality should be held criminally liable should pupils go on to contract any STDs. Like they are not capable of that on their own!
“If some young person hears at school that it’s okay to be gay and then comes down with a fatal disease as a result,” Glenn said, “school officials should be held legally liable, individually and in their official capacities, financially and maybe even criminal.”
Earth to Glenn. There’s this little invention known as the Internet, where young people learn about homosexuality and all kinds of other fun things. HIV and other STDs are entirely preventable, and students need to be educated early and often about everything from condoms to PrEP. In fact, it’s denying information that is tantamount to educational malpractice. States with abstinence-only education have far higher rates of teen pregnancies and STD rates than those that offer comprehensive sex education.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

Glenn has also campaigned to re-criminalize homosexuality, calling it “a proven threat to public health and safety,” accused an anti-bullying group of being a “Trojan Horse” from “homosexual activists” who want to “segregate students,” and challenged a Hate Crimes Prevention Act, saying it would “criminalize the Bible and use the threat of federal prosecutions and long jail sentences to silence Christians.” (For the record: The bill made absolutely no mention of Christians whatsoever. He just made that shit up.)
The dumbumentary also features appearances by some dude wearing a lab coat who claims placing one’s genitals in “the tract where you expel waste” is, put simply, perversion. A perversion, of course, only enjoyed by homosexuals. The film even dusts off Liberty University‘s Judith Reisman, who once claimed that gay men can only do it doggie style, showing a remarkable ignorance of the male anatomy. (Reisman just needs a gay porn watching session with her colleague Peter LaBarbera.)

That’s funny… cause the south right now has the highest rates of infections for std
Cory M. Warren
it should be noted that it is the religious zealotry districts with abstinence only education that have not only higher rates of std among students, but also higher teen pregnancy rates… because fundementalist christanity is nothing more than satanisem clutching a flag and a bible while felatioing a gun, and fondling ones own siblings just cus.

I am not surprised at all he said this. But rest assured this ol’ flag waving republican is NOT going to mention how/why the state flag of South Carolina, the Confederate Flag, is EXEMPT from being flown at half staff. By law, that flag must always fly high, regardless of how many senseless murders took place in the name of supremacy.

And I guess he also demanded that we arrest and jail the pope for all the molestations his priests committed which the church systematically denied and hid from public view? What? No? He didn’t demand that? How odd.
I guess that means we also don’t get to hold Baptist preachers accountable for all the gay bashing in the name of Jesus either. Life is so unfair.

Wow, there are schools that teach it? I missed out. Is there a manual somewhere that I can buy? When God made me, he forgot to supply me with the manual.

Schools that don’t teach sex Ed (properly) should be fined
gaym50ish
These people need to have a little sex education themselves. They might learn that straight men and women also engage in anal sex — 44 percent of men and 36 percent of women, according to a study released in 2011 by the Centers for Disease Control and the National Center for Health Statistics. And since most lesbians and an estimated one-third of gay males do NOT practice anal sex, there’s a lot more of it being practiced by heterosexuals than by homosexuals.
It amazes me that the abstinence-only proponents think that kids won’t have sex if you keep them ignorant about sex. The results are astounding — girls who think they can’t get pregnant the first time, boys who think they can avoid pregnancy by “pulling out” (pre-cum also has sperm), and kids who believe their parents’ scare stories about what will happpen if they masturbate.

It must be a requisite, to be amazingly stupid, to be an elected anybody in the U.S. Schools teach, and should, acceptance of the diversity of people. No one teaches homosexuality. And STD’s are not gay born. The straight world is no stranger to STD’s — you only have to look at the South, and the Mid-West to prove it. Must be something very alluring about sheep, and cows.
Krystoffer A Viau
Schools that teach about homosexuality, should be commended for doing so. Tolerance. It also teaches them tolerance and if you’re in sex ed, education. If a student contracts any STD or STI, then it’s upon them for their own stupidity. They’re in sex ed for a reason. Wake up moron. To practice safe sex or not, that’s the question. Failure to do so, falls on them, not anything else.

So does this mean we’re shutting down the Catholic church?

As a person who is state certified to conduct HIV testing and educaiton, may I suggest he check statstics in his state? In many states cases of new cases of HIV are highest among the heterosexual community. In my state abstinence only is the only thing permitted to be taught in sex educaiton classes, yet we are permitted to test on confidentality anyone aged 13 and older! When talking with clients in pre-testing interviews so many have asked why they are not taught “about this” in their classes. We are not even permitted to use the word “condom” in presentations in schools. People are so ignorant, due to lack of education that a 19-year-old girl came to be tested and told me that she thought the onyl way she could become infected was if her boyfriend, with whom she had been having sex several times a week, had had sex with a gay male. She had no concept that he could contract it if having sex with another female who may be infected. A few years ago our state was highest in the nation for unwed teenage mothers. Syphilis is rampant in our state and especially among heteroesexuals, although it also is found in the homosexual community. One case of STD of any type is too many!

The more of these idiots who get the spotlight for running their ignorant mouths, the better! At long last, voters are beginning to see how crazy such blather really is. Where do they come up with stupid crap like this?
AtticusBennett
so weird. how can a grown adult be so stupid? you can’t teach homosexuality. you can, however, teach people to not be bigoted. it’s that simple.
Bud Clark
He’s so full of $hit that his eyeballs are turning brown.

Gary Glenn isn’t all wrong. I think all sexual orientations need to come with the STDs proviso. We’re not taught about sexual responsibility. Newbies to the gay male scene think it’s like being in a candy store, with little in the way of a conscious and precautionary thought process.
Of course, the gay business owners want you to think that it’s all fun and joy. It’s because they want your money. It’s not fun and joy if you catch gonorrhea, or even worse.
Sluggo2007
Gary Glenn’s parents should be held responsible for creating the ultimate asshole!
