Donald Trump met with Queen Elizabeth last week and let’s just say it didn’t go well.
Not only was Trump 15 minutes late to the meeting, but he broke royal protocol multiple times during their brief 17-minute meet-and-greet.
First, he didn’t bow to the 92-year-old monarch. Then he walked in front of her, awkwardly cutting her off and forcing her to maneuver around him.

After that, Trump gossiped with Piers Morgan at Good Morning Britain about what he and the monarch talked about, which is another no-no. Heads of state are not supposed to reveal their private conversations with the queen.

I never saw Trump commit an act of treason or be rude to anyone while on this trip. I DID hear ludicrous questions asked by members of the media. The rudeness is embedded in that nest of vipers. The man takes up for our country and won’t let other walk all over us. I think the Queen is a heroic lady, and she probably didn’t see one thing wrong with the protocol during the visit.

Additionally, growth of the stock market was chugging along at rates established during the Obama administration, and now Trump’s tariffs are introducing increased volitility already upsetting the futures markets.
Economic growth in general is well below the levels he predicted and more in line with an economy beginning to reflect the always disastrous republican policies.
Job growth hit its height during Obama’s last year and now is slowing, as was predicted by non-partisan analysts.
Where exactly are those highly touted infrastructure improvements?
Where is his “beautiful” healthcare reform plan?
Where is his idiotic and pointless wall, a hideously expensive fix for a problem that does not exist except in the fevered imagination of regressives?

What is horrifying is how much more he will be loved and revered by his supporters. The man can do no wrong, and because more of his hardcore supporters will show up for the next presidential election, than those against him, he will win again.

He will suffer some loss of support now that the suicide rate of farmers is hitting an all time high. Not to mention the loss of votes from miners, now that his administration has made it considerably more difficult to get a black lung diagnosis and the benefits that come with disability.
And now that his privatizing of veteran benefits has made the wait time for treatment considerably longer in many cases perhaps many of his veteran supports will die off as well.

Americans do not bow to the Queen, nor do other heads of state. At most, a slight nod of the head is acceptable. Americans are not the Queen’s subjects, so we do not acknowledge her as our superior in rank. While Trump is a total social incompetent, not bowing, but accepting her hand and lightly shaking was correct.
Being late, on the other hand, is a true insult.

Well Bob, I continue to be dumbfounded by those like you in the gay community who wish to have open borders, who want foreign terrorists in our country, who want more and more of our manufacturing base and jobs to go overseas, who want to mock and disrespect law enforcement, who don’t like the fact that unemployment (especially among blacks, hispanics & women) is at it’s lowest since they started keeping records. There’s a lot of gay Trump supporters. For that matter, both Obama & Hillary Clinton couldn’t quite “come around” to support same sex marriage, but you forget that. And when asked about what he’d do about ss marriage, he said the Supreme Court has spoken, and the issue is settled. I hated what Obama was trying to do to our country, but all through those 8 years I had a roof over my head, food on the table, a car to drive, money to spend, a good income, good insurance, and the like. You forget that right at this very moment, you have the same. 50% of our lives are spent with a President that we did not vote for, it’s just the way it is.

Obama was the most pro-gay and pro-trans president in the lifetime of anyone reading Queerty. We have never had a president who supported LGBTQ legislation, people, organizations, etc. like Barack Obama. He even supported the right of anti-Obama conservatives like you to get married. And sure enough, as soon as same-sex marriage passed, conservatives flocked to courthouses, churches and anywhere else they could to get married just like the liberals who fought for their right to do so.

When was the last time you looked at something for what it is, instead of holding it as a fairy tale that has come true while ignoring the blatant reality of it? What you seem to misunderstand is the fact that this is more of a presidential thing than a party matter. ANY president, regardless of party, needs to respect that position, hold himself to a certain level of professionalism above personal petty thoughts and arguments and treat others with the utmost respect his office calls for. Trump does none of this. He abuses it in the thinking that it’s a license to do and say whatever he pleases and cannot be touched for it. He is not being a president, but holds the title hostage while he name calls, ignores what America needs and wants and seems hell bent on destruction rather than building up and helping others. Yet you see it some some sort of rescue from oblivion rather than what it really is, simply because Trumps actions make you feel it’s your own license to openly hate. I know, I deal with it daily from my own sister who voted Trump.

I’m not American, but I’m embarrassed for all Americans and let’s just say I don’t hold the same respect and admiration I had for America I had before US citizens chose this guy to represent themselves.
Living outside US we see on the news (which don’t hold political interest) the world’s views on America, and let’s just say, it does not look good.
I really like US and I hope US citizens (who voted for him) have learned their lesson on how not to choose their líder. What a disaster.
