Watch Magician’s Perfect Vanishing Act On Anti-Trans Bathroom Argument

Magician Justin Willman says he understands that it can be hard for some parents to explain complex issues in the news to their children, and he is here to help explain the transgender bathroom issue in the most spectacular way.

Willman performs an illusion that gets right to the heart of the issue, illustrating that nothing is as it first appears or seems, but that in the end even complex ideas can be quite simple if you leave your mind open and curious, while also understanding that sometimes it is best to mind your own business.

And he does all of that with just peanut butter, jelly and his superb magician skills.

The issue of which bathrooms and locker rooms transgender people should use became a national one when North Carolina passed HB2, which, among other things, required people to use the facilities matching the gender on their birth certificates in public buildings. Private businesses are allowed to set their own rules around bathrooms and locker rooms.

The state and the U.S. Department of Justice are engaged in an ongoing legal battle over the issue.

Since saying too much more might ruin the show, behold below for yourself. The message, like peanut butter and jelly or magic, is not just for kids. There remain plenty of adults who don’t understand why it is important to allow transgender individuals to use the bathrooms matching their gender and hopefully some of them are watching.
