Neil Patrick Harris is poised to take home People magazine’s title of “Sexiest Man Alive” prize, NewYork Daily News reports.
“People has never had an openly gay ‘Sexiest Man’ before,” one insider said. “It would certainly make news and generate buzz for the magazine. Plus, Neil is going to be hosting the Oscars. He’s in Gone Girl, he was just on Broadway. He’s also happily married with kids. He is having an amazing year.”
While we won’t deny Mr. Harris’ good looks and charm, we couldn’t help but think of other gay guys (and one honorary gay) who might make equally strong contenders for the coveted title.

NPH?? Worse than Adam Levine (a very nice-looking man, but “SMA”, he is not). Chris Pratt is FAR more likely, or Charlie Hunnam (SOA’s swan song has generated quite a bit of press, even if this season is far from great). I don’t find NPH remotely sexual or attractive, not that he is an ogre or something (his hubby is nice-looking, though).

NPH is simply not at all sexy. There is nothing sexy about him. Zachary has a chance, but I would still not put him on par with some of the hottest straight guys. Plus, he is most likely a really whiny bottom, and that is a turn off for just about everyone (regardless of what you look like).

Matt Bomer didn’t make the list? Was it too obvious? He’s a much more likely pick. However, I don’t think he’s a big enough star yet. People only picks huge, A-list celebs for that title and Bomer hasn’t quite reached mega-stardom.
