Now that the DWV breakup is officially last month’s news, it’s out with the old and in with the new for July!
In an interview on a new podcast series called ‘The Del and Emerson Show’, Willam Belli shared his plans for life post-DWV. His plans include a multi-country tour of his solo show, which is appropriately titled ‘Me-W-Me’, an upcoming book and two new web shows, including the return of the much adored ‘Willam’s Beatdown‘.
Here’s what he shared:
[quote]In October, it’s at The Cutting Room in New York and it’s called the Me-W-Me Show… I planned it a while ago. It was planned as far back as January because I wanted to do solo stuff that they weren’t involved in, but the timing was—wow—perfect. I’m doing that and that’s gonna do an Australian tour in November and then a Canadian tour in the fall or the winter. Straight across Canada, like a moose. And then, hopefully, selected other U.S. states.

“I have a book coming out… it’s called ‘Where There’s A Willam There’s A Way: From Ass Hole to Awesome‘… Ass holes. I’m not calling myself an ass hole, I’m talking about ass holes. And it’s all the fun little things that you would read on the sidebars of an Allure, GQ Magazine, and not like big articles, but it’s like sex tips and makeover stuff, how to fake a good black eye for family court, how to pop a zit right, lazy queen drag…. it’s good. It’s the kind of book you pick up at Urban Outfitters and go ‘I’m gonna get this shit, I don’t care’…. ‘this won’t be embarrassing to put on the coffee table.’
“Then I have a couple new shows coming out. I have a video, every Friday, for at least 12 weeks starting next week in July. I’m bringing back the show called ‘Willam’s Beatdown‘ where I lampoon YouTube people. It’s fun. And then another show where makeup artists paint me and then we see how many guys from Craigslist will come over to my studio. So many.”[/quote]
