Right-Wing Coalition Requests Gay "Disease" In Australia

What's worse than one anti-gay organization? Seventeen of them - a frightening prospect made real in Australia, where "family" groups have come together to form the "Gender Matters" coalition. And, after putting their hateful heads together, the group has released a series of demands for the gays - and the world.

Most of their requests are pretty standard, like keeping marriage for heterosexuals and prohibiting gay adoption. Beyond that, however, things get pretty wild, like the use of public funds to "cure" the queers.

From Gender Matters' website:

To dispel the current confusion regarding gender issues, and to restore the proper understanding and appreciation of maleness and femaleness, and to protect our children from harm, the following is proposed as a guide to policy makers

That public funding be committed to programmes and support networks which assist individuals to overcome gender disorientation pathology.

That it be affirmed that homosexuals, as individuals, should enjoy the same rights as other individuals, but that homosexual relationships not be granted social or legal recognition, since that would promote greater levels of gender disorientation pathology in the community as a whole, and undermine the unique status of marriage.

The group also wants schools to give little boys lessons on how to be masculine. Girls, meanwhile, would get lessons in being - well, girly. Also, all gay people will be terminated.

Psych! Gender Matters didn't really ask for the mass murder of all the gays - but we bet they thought it!

It's kinda fun to be the very most importantest thing in the world, though, isn't it? I mean, who'd've thought that two consenting adults loving each other (or just fucking) could cause so much kerfuffle?

These people are the real danger. We need to use public funds to figure out why some people insist on being ignorant, shortsighted, smallminded, meanspirited, judgmental, and generally vile. If we could cure evangelical christiantity, mormonism, and anybody who co-opts the word "family" for their hateful, bigoted purposes, the world'd be a MUCH better place for everybody.

Ew…classes on being masculine or feminine. If anything a school should teach kids to embrace both masculine and feminine traits of their personality. I mean my primary school required ballroom dancing and etiquite classes for 7-12 year olds, and the instructor got so tired of telling me to be ladylike that by the time I was 10, she just put me in the boy's group. And if anything ettiquite classes clash with the American pespective of masculinity.

America is once again exporting their Palin-style bigotry which this time lands in Australia; a socialized democracy who just elected a progressive leader of the Australian Labor Party. The Bush-style politicking doesn't work Down Under, and these "fringe-dwellers" are emboldened by a visit from the head of the Pedophilic church; the Nazi Pope to gay Sydney.

Aussies will form a coalition to rid their secular society of religious fanatics (all too silent during the John Howard regime) so I don't think Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has anything to worry about with these wackos except to put the violent offenders in the cross-hairs of National Security (ASIO).

My sister was the butch one in the family, so she taught me to throw like a boy, and I taught her to walk like a girl…

The problem is only a fag can teach these modern girls to be ladies…maybe I should pack my matilda and get myself down under!
The only problem, of course, is that to really BE a lady is to be in full possession of you powers of strength, courage, wisdom and authority…not exactly what these people are hoping for.

Forget mass murder, given the loose scientific regulations they have down there I bet the next step is genetic engineering to erase any Gay gene(picture of baby appropriate)in future populations.
Although the religious zealots say they're against meddling with nature like in the case of stem cell research they wouldn't give it a second thought to embrace such a practice. They would surely use the same passages from their scriptures they use to discriminate against us plus some other stupid shit they can find to justify it.

Australia will become an Asian SuperPower, not a Colonial outpost of Mary-Old England if you are paying attention to changing racial demographics instead of outdated "Crocodile Dundee" movies. The God-botherers will fail in this largely secular society that likes to keep the Church well away from State. Australia is what America could have been (and England for that matter) but it will not become America as the population is too educated with affordable tertiary degrees for locals and a healthy disdain for Gun Ownership.

Wow i'm from Australia and i'm stunned by your compliments, there are still alot of stupid people here that have very limited views but i think we are progressing reasonably well.

Personally i just find it amusing that so many people get gender and sexuality confused, if we got rid of that problem we'd be much better off.

How many guys refuse to admit to being gay because they think they are too masculine to be queer?
How many people think some lesbians are pretending or that the right guy will snap them out of it because gay girls can't be that feminine?

Newsflash for the straight world! Gay and transgender are completly differnt.

Dan, there are stupid people everywhere. That's what the "I'm with Stupid" T-shirts are for. Seriously, images of masculinity are a problem in Australia but many Americans are just plain bigoted against Gays, including some Gays! The root of bigotry (apart from FEAR) is organized persecutory religion!

Im pretty liberal and I got my opinions, but seriously who the hell ya kiddin?! gays are a minority, so shut the fuck up and go fuck eachother. I dont care who you sleep with, but PLEASE keep it to your self. stop pleading to the whole world like little kids about being accepted. there are many discriminated people out there who dont bother, yet ya'll got the nerve.you are the ones who are arrogant.
I got some friends who are gay and they keep their mouth shut about their sexuality, because I dont go around pressuring others to be straight unless they start yappin about being twisted.
I dont think straight folks would have cared if youd just simply fuck around, but no, you gotta take it to court.
:P

Well, "democrat", if you want us to keep our "gayness" to ourselves, perhaps you should shut the fuck up + stop posting on a gay-themed blog.

Actually, the Gender Matters bunch did ask for the elimination of gays — by having federal funding for them to be 'cured'.

Check out point 19 of their action plan to rid Australia of homosexuals.
