It’s no secret that Gen Zers and Millennials are two of the most progressive generations when it comes to key social and political issues, like same-sex marriage and gender identity.
But there are still plenty of people from older generations who are just as open-minded and accepting. The truth is, grandmas these days are hipper and more woke than ever. (Thanks, in part, to their Gen Z and Millennial grandchildren.)

Nana is renting out a room in her house and when the tenant came over for the first time, he told her he was scared to tell her he was gay because he’s gotten rejected so many times from housing situations like this. Lucky him, he found the Queer Ally Grandma of Moore County™?

I spoke to my grandma for the first time since she heard I was gay. She’s 86, Catholic, fiercely protective and we’ve always been very close. I was anxious but we spoke as if nothing had changed. Hung up and had a little cry – the first since coming out. Everyone knows now. ?? pic.twitter.com/aP8ZIi4uJn

My grandparents never talked about me being gay. They knew . I brought boyfriends to their house. And I love them for that not being an obstacle or a question. They loved me and I talked with them every week until they died in 2003. My last memory of my my grandfather was hugging him and him hugging me back. He loved me and I loved him. We never spoke of my sex life, but I knew we all knew. Sometimes truths are silent.

I can’t believe the millennials are surprised that grandparents are “woke”. We stopped Vietnam, we’ve overthrown Nixon with watergate. While your complacent parents kiss republicans ass and think Trump is something other than the lying criminal he truly is. We love all our grandchildren, all of our grandchildren LGBTQ+ and even the straight ones. Why be surprised we do have that common enemy thing, your parents :)……
radiooutmike
If you stopped Vietnam, that would make you Trump’s generation correct?

I miss both of my grandmothers, they were so loving and accepting.
