My grandparents never talked about me being gay. They knew . I brought boyfriends to their house. And I love them for that not being an obstacle or a question. They loved me and I talked with them every week until they died in 2003. My last memory of my my grandfather was hugging him and him hugging me back. He loved me and I loved him. We never spoke of my sex life, but I knew we all knew. Sometimes truths are silent.

I can’t believe the millennials are surprised that grandparents are “woke”. We stopped Vietnam, we’ve overthrown Nixon with watergate. While your complacent parents kiss republicans ass and think Trump is something other than the lying criminal he truly is.
