Every singer can take the rest of the day off because Adele has just released “Hello,” her first single since “Skyfall,” her Oscar-winning James Bond theme. The gorgeous sepia-toned six-minute video that accompanies the single was directed with IMAX cameras by Canadian wunderkind Xavier Dolan, the out director of Mommy and Tom at the Farm. The video finds Adele trying to make peace with a failed relationship. The Wire‘s Tristan Wilds plays her ex in flashbacks, with most of his scenes filmed from the perspective of the powerhouse vocalist.

Heard the first release. Adele sounds fantastic. Glad she’s back with new music.

Goody. As with her last album the same two or three songs will be PLAYED TO DEATH everywhere I go for the next year. She’s talented but after the twentieth time in the same day I’m reaching for a rusty razor blade.

Lestar
thank peter she’s back…we can finally rest from all the Taylor swift overload.

@Lestar:
Taylor Swift should be shot in the face.
Sweetie Pie
Lovely song…overrated video
Blackceo
As soon as I heard the first bars I was in love. Absolutely love Adele’s voice and style of music and love that she had a Black guy as her love interest in her video. Taylor Swift would never and yes Im glad Adele is back because Im tired of Swift all over the place.

I’d rather be bombarded with actual talent than have to turn to every radio station and hear “Blank Space” or “Wildest Dreams” constantly playing. I don’t really do not get these fucking stations, now… I swear they have 10 songs that the rotate through the whole. damn. day.

@Glücklich: @Blackceo: @Xzamilio: YAAASSSS to all of these comments.

@Xzamilio: Here in Portugal is the same fucking thing.
It’s the same fucking songs everyday at work, I usually plug my phone and listen to my own music. I swear I cannot stand another song by Enrique Iglesias or Taylor Swift.
SportGuy
YES YES AND MORE YES! Love Adele! She never seems to disappoint! The song and video are awesome and has a meaning, unlike most crap music today! Welcome back Adele, all others need to just pack up their bubble gum junk and go home.

It’d make more sense if she was a ghost trying to reach him from the other side.
mikehipp
Eh, not loving it. Nice video and she’s very pretty but the song doesn’t have the emotional power of some of the songs on the other album.
Nick Marriott
Gorgeous superstar xo.
Jonathonz
It doesn’t grate on my nerves as much as her last set of songs. About all I can say so far.
Jim McHardy
Fantastic
