We don’t know about you, but we’re counting down the days until the Tales of the City reboot on Netflix, which premieres on June 7.
Based on the beloved writings by author Armistead Maupin, Tales of the City follows the lives of a group of San Franciscans living in the same apartment complex, as well as the eccentrics that move in and out of their lives.

The latest installment features a new generation of characters, led by Ellen Page, Charlie Barnett, Murray Bartlet, Daniela Vega, and Molly Ringwald. It also reunites original stars Laura Linney, Olympia Dukakis, Paul Gross, and Barbara Garrick, reprising their roles after more than 20 years.
How about we take this to the next level?

Netflix has been teasing us with promo shots, Instagram posts, and even a mini documentary about the series reboot for weeks. Now, the streaming giant has dropped another official two-minute trailer.

Olympia Dukakis is the core of “Tales” and while I love Laura Linney to death she was one of the weakest links. Where are; Marcus D’Amico and Chloe Webb? Their chemistry made the original !!
Glad to see Paul Gross is back.

Chloe’s character Mona (if they’re going by the books) passed away from cancer about 20 years ago

“reprising their roles after more than 20 years”
Nope, that’s wrong…Further Tales of The City was in 2001. It’s only been 18 years.

Is this a gay show with gay leading characters? Please, i need to know. It’s the only reason I’d watch this.
Babakazoo
Yes, there are leading Gay, Lesbian & Transgender characters. Track down the original series & it’s 2 sequels on DVD to learn their back story. This is more of a follow up than a remake, it picks up from one of the later books in the series.

@babakazoo okay, thanks! I’ll try and do so and will definitely be watching this one.
