Donald Trump, Republican presidential candidate and humanoid can of Crush, recently declared his support for the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA), a nightmare bill that would gamely open up discrimination against LGBTQ people in pretty much all the areas: employment, housing, and healthcare.
As though there was any lingering suspicion, the latest move signals that his occasional support of the gay community is just the work of a blowhard blowing hard.

Endorsing Trump and the Republican Party in any way, shape or form is a slap in the faces of the extraordinary efforts of all those in the LGBT community who have spent generations getting us to where we are now. I find the younger generation of gay men have no idea what it was like to come out 30 and 40 years ago. To support Trump and his team is an affront to every single person who fought so hard to earn our LGBT rights. The GOP would love nothing more than to rollback rights and put in new religious laws and prevent non-discrimination bills from passing. The entitled new generation of gays should spend a few years going back in their closets, losing their jobs, and not having their relationships recognized and then they may realize just how dangerous it is to endorse the Republican Party. That’s why I have 0 tolerance for any gay man in supporting Trump. What bothers me the most this election season, is that after all these years as an out, proud Democrat who has spent so much time beside my party members vocally opposing Republicans for their lying, cheating, and election rigging…and now 1/2 of my party wants me to vote for a candidate who has spent her time lying, cheating, and rigging elections…
I won’t vote for her. My conscious and sense of ethics won’t let me. I will be voting for Jill Stein. Even if Jill doesn’t win, if she gets 5% in the general election then the Federal Funding Commission will have to start supporting the Green Party financially, like they do the other two parties.
Also, I’m not particularly scared of Trump. Sure he is an idiot that says stupid things, but our founding fathers put in place the Checks and Balances system for this very reason. Trump lacks the political acumen to weasel his was around it to do too much damage. In fact, I seriously doubt his is capable of holding the office for more than one turn. Would a Trump presidency hurt? Sure, but it beats the hell out of rewarding corruption, AND it ~might~ knock the DNC for enough of a loop that they stop disrespecting their members.
Finally, I AM afraid of a Clinton presidency. If she can get away with rigging elections, purgery (she lied to a Senate Select Committee under oath), and multiple felony security breaches (my husband is a DOD director, and I can assure that she DID commit multiple felonies just from what she ADMITTED in her FBI interview) then imagine what she will pull once in office. The political acumen that Trump lacks, Hillary has in SPADES. Not to mention, I am also afraid of more war and Hillary is noting if not a war hawk. In the past 2 weeks, she has mentioned three different nations where she says she believes we should have “boots on the ground”. No. I won’t be voting for that.

I share the view that Hillary is not the best of Democratic candidates. I wanted Bernie Sanders. I was extremely disappointed with the level of DNC obstruction he received. That being said, I will still vote for Hillary. Jill Stein? I’ve heard that her positions are largely those of Bernie’s [I only state that by what I’ve read.] So why wouldn’t I vote for her instead? Simple, she doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in Hell of winning. While she’s polling only in the few % range, that still could make the difference between a Clinton vs. a Trump victory. I could not feel guilt free if he was elected due to my voting for Stein, peeling away a slim percent that could spell victory. Like Bernie has said to those who’ve been disappointed by his not getting the nomination and who do not want to vote for Hillary: Now is not the time to vote your conscience. We must keep the divisive and hate promoting Trump out of office. When Hillary is elected we can move towards making changes to help ensure someone like Bernie becomes the candidate in the future.
