Man Stopped At Airport Over Large Bulge Between His Legs, Turns Out It Was Just A Pound Of Cocaine

32DBFC1A00000578-0-image-a-20_1459856193007A 43-year-old man was stopped and searched as he traveled into Madrid Airport from Costa Rica after security officers noticed “a suspicious package between his legs.”

The man was wearing a pair of black shorts over pants with a floral design in an apparent attempt to hide his noticeable bulge. When Spanish police asked to frisk him, they quickly uncovered a poorly-disguised stash of drugs.

The man was discovered to be carrying over a pound of cocaine in his underpants. He was detained and brought before a judge. He now faces up to three years in prison for drug smuggling.

But this isn’t the first time Spanish police have unearthed creative strategies at smuggling cocaine through the Madrid airport.

In the past, they have arrested a 92-year-old grandmother who had four kilos of cocaine hidden in her wheelchair. Another time, they busted two women carrying 1.2 kilos of cocaine under their wigs. Yet another time, they caught a man trying to smuggle drugs inside his artificial leg.

Of course, none of this compares to the time gay porn star Bruno Knight was caught with half a pound of meth up his butt at LAX. That still remains at the top of the pyramid when it comes to the most poorly executed drug trafficking attempts.
