Manu Rios and Marc Forne

The world is still reeling from Manu Ríos’ exit from Netflix‘s blockbuster Spanish-language series Élite.

And while the young adult telenovela just launched its seventh season sans Ríos, the Spanish hunk is not only moving on to other acting projects but also branching out into the fashion world.

For the last few years, Ríos has become quite the style king turning body-baring lewks on red carpets around the world and now he wants to share his sartorial talents by getting into your closet.

The 24-year-old has joined forces with his handsome stylist, fellow Spanish hottie Marc Forné, to launch the new streetwear brand Carrer.

Carrer, which means street in Catalan, consists of a capsule collection of casual workwear-inspired items in neutral colors that can be worn by everyone. The gender-neutral line features cargos, henleys, T-shirts, and jackets priced between $89 – $294.

“We basically wanted to create something to fit in with our own lifestyles. We travel so much, and at least for this collection, we didn’t want to limit ourselves,” Ríos told Vogue.

“We analyzed what we actually wear everyday, and we made those things lighter materials, and finished the pieces exactly how we wanted them, added Forné. “This capsule, which is very small, is the beginning of [a larger project], and in November we’re going to launch knitwear.”

While Carrer’s debut collection has a masculine vibe, the co-creators say they don’t want the line to be pigeonholed by outdated gender norms.

“We don’t care about wearing gendered clothing,” Rios told GQ France. “If we like a piece labeled women’s, we’ll wear it.”

While first starting out as a model, Forné, who also styles Troye Sivan, has been dressing Ríos for the last two years. But the duo initially met because Ríos slid into his DMs.

“I thought he was really cool, so I sent him a DM, thinking that hopefully I could be his friend. We started talking and months later we met at an event in Spain and had a nice connection and clicked,” Ríos told Vogue.

“I’d been going to shows and working in the industry for a long time; it just made sense for me to help him,” Forné shared. “When Manu started having so many public events and appearances it wasn’t like, ‘I’m going to be your stylist’, it was more like, ‘I’m going to help you out with this.'”

Beyond their working relationship, the two handsome fashionistas have also become really good friends.

In May, they were spotted vacationing in the French Riviera after attending the Cannes Film Festival. In addition to soaking up the sun, the duo got a beach pump by doing push-ups on a floating pier.

Though Rios is currently in the midst of a busy acting career —he’s currently appearing alongside Pedro Pascal in A Strange Way of Life and working on the new Netflix medical drama Respira —he credits Forné for giving him a crash course in fashion.

“I learned a lot from Marc. He is the one who introduced me to fashion in a deep and lasting way,” he told GQ France. “I knew I loved fashion but working with him for events or magazines accelerated things. Marc knows everything about everything about fashion.”

The entire Carrer collection is available now through the brand’s official website. Check out more photos of the line and of its handsome co-creators below:
