A group of Belgian rowers is using the power of thirst for a good cause, promoting LGBTQ inclusion in sports with a steamy locker room photoshoot.
Out rower Simon Haerinck launched the initiative, called Same Sport, Different Sexuality, on Instagram, where the first two posts quickly racked up likes.
In the photos, Haerinck poses with straight rowers Niels Raoul Boone, Ruben Claeys, and Henri Steyaert.
The first one shows the guys shirtless with the text “Same Sport Different Sexuality” written on their chests:

Speaking to Outsports, Haerinck explained what he hopes to accomplish with the campaign:
“I don’t want to pressure anyone to come out on their team. But if they choose to do so, a sports club should be a place of acceptance. And if they see a lot of straight people take pictures with their queer teammates, maybe they will have the strength to finally be themselves.”

When is someone going to call out these photo filters for the damage they’re doing to self-esteem? People are so offended by their own images anymore they can’t post a picture without filtering all their defects as each site reminds you to “play nice” and not call out people for their bullshit. IG even asks if you’d like to retract your comment if they think the wording is somewhat questionable.
I don’t even know how people look at these filtered pics and accept them as real. They’re nothing but a modern-day catfish, a product of the selfie hell we’re living in.
We’ve gone way past the comic idea of changing oneself to see how you’d look in a beard or 6 pack abs to almost every single picture not being a real person anymore. The posters are so afraid of not getting “liked” that they’re afraid to show the real them. I’m so sick of phony 6 pack abs, those are the ones that aren’t symmetric from left to right, that I actually prefer when these people put clothes on so I don’t have to look at their disfigured bodies. What’s scarier is that advertisers are doing the same thing even on professional models. No need to pay top dollar for gym bunnies anymore when we can filter anyone to look like hell.

This photo does not appear to be filtered. For some reason, you just feel the need to say that a picture of anyone with a good body is fake, and I’m assuming that’s because you’re bitter about not having a good body yourself, which would be your fault, not the world’s.
