Three wonderful things happened at last night’s Golden Globes:
1. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler proved that they should probably just host everything from now on
2. If they aren’t available, Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader’s terrible movie impressions made them strong second choices
3. And a mainstream audience was made aware of the Amazon show Transparent, which we’ve been in love with since it aired

Best actor in a TV series – comedy/musical: Jeffrey Tambor, Transparent
Best supporting actor in a series, miniseries or TV movie – Matt Bomer, The Normal Heart

Best actor in a TV series — drama: Kevin Spacey, House of Cards
Transparent creator Jill Soloway and Jeffrey Tambor gave especially moving acceptance speeches, Jill dedicating the award to Leelah Alcorn and Jeffrey humbly thanking the transgender community for their courage, patience and inspiration.

Awards shows are largely self-congratulatory, but since most people don’t turn to Amazon to watch groundbreaking storytelling, we hope this spotlight leads to a more diverse audience getting hooked on Transparent.
