It turns out Debbie Odom Massey isn’t the only person freaking out over ABC’s decision to cancel the Tim Allen sit-com “Last Man Standing” after six years.
All across America, conservative TV fanatics are having a collective meltdown over what they perceive as an attack on their values and religion.
A change.org petition demanding ABC renew the sit-com has garnered nearly 240,000 online signatures.
“Last Man Standing is one of the only shows on broadcast television, and the only sitcom, that is not constantly shoving liberal ideals down the throats of the viewers,” the petition reads.

Meanwhile, a Twitter page called @BringBackLMS is currently taking a poll on what network should sweep in and pick up the show now that ABC has hung it out to dry.

In response to the backlash, Channing Dungey, president of ABC Entertainment, released a statement saying politics had nothing to do with her decision to pull the plug on the show, telling media:
“I canceled Last Man Standing for the same business and scheduling reasons that I canceled The Real O’Neals, Dr. Ken, The Catch and American Crime. Last Man Standing was a challenging one for me because it was a steady performer in the ratings, but once we made the decision not to continue with comedies on Friday, that was where we landed.”
Still, this didn’t stop people from tweeting their outrage, calling for a boycott of ABC, and, of course, demanding Ms. Dungey be fired from her job.

Yeah, because a drug dealer with a DUI in his background is such a conservative standard-bearer. Tim Dick (his real name) is only bitching because he’s a #45 supporter and thinks this is a way to drum up support for his lousy show. I bet his fans wouldn’t be so proud to stand up for him if they knew he was caught at the Kalamazoo Airport with almost a pound and a half of cocaine, then ratted out his drug-dealer buds for less time to be served. As for his DUI, he served no jail time.

They have cancelled a lot more series this year that featured gay/lesbian/bisexual characters and liberal themed shows than anything else.
So we can no longer cancel shows because it will offend someone? i.e.

NCIS = Will piss off federal agents

Religion is used as a shield or defence to justify their ignorance, hate towards others, or violence. Their religion has made them guilty of the sin of arrogance/feeling of superiority over others/vanity. They use it, they don’t believe it or follow it. Religion (any) is man made fiction in order to instruct people how to live, what to believe and who to follow (the management of the religion): it’s all about crowd control thru the use of holy fiction. The air-heads who call themselves conservative do not acknowledge facts or science in their empty headed belief in their holy book (of fiction). They proactively work to harm and hurt others, but are amazingly thin skinned in perceiving any slight, no matter how minor or even not true, from others. They cannot play well with others which are why they hang onto the fiction of their holy fiction to make themselves feel better – some dead fictional characters to get along with.

Really disgusted with hearing conservatives whining about how they should be able to take rights away from others so they stay the main focus and then calling others “snowflakes” if they don’t agree. Then a little situation happens like this and they riot and call themselves victims. Other articles about this show being cancelled I’ve read today have quoted disgruntled conservatives naming every gay show ABS airs and pointing out that they are still being broadcast. These people are their own worst enemies and they deserve what they get.

It’s all in the context. People complain on Twitter and create petitions for lots of cancelled shows. But it’s because they love the show and don’t want to see it end. But this is different. These snowflakes are taking the cancellation as an effrontery to their “conservative values” and are losing their grip, convinced it’s some kind of liberal conspiracy. It really takes a special kind of stupid to take the cancellation of an inane sitcom to that level.

And yes, it’s all about context; Trump being elected and people committing stupidity in a blind rage because they knew a shitstorm of stupidity was coming to ALL of America is a large order of magnitude (in both the election and the reaction) bigger than the consequences to (usual network share) one million conservative viewers who found their little specialty show cancelled. Equating it with the oppression of Conservative Values (a humorous notion to begin with, given conservative oppression of EVERYTHING not Conservative) is a big stretch, not to mention VERY ironic. I’ll say this, I’m glad that these two shows are being cancelled. I never liked them anyway not just because of their conservative views, but at times the jokes have been sexist, racist and just down right stupid. I’ve never liked any show Tim Allen was in. He went to Trump’s inauguration, he had that right, but we the t.v. consumer also have our rights.
